and no guarantee us shale will not come back.

and it gets worse if us export ban lifted.



i remember playing a computer simulated opec-oil price game long long time ago in a training session.

everyone ended up playing hardball, everything crashed, world depression.

haha. looks like a fun game.

thing takes its time to adjust. oil for now, drop too fast and furious, that's why it hurts the oil exporter countries. if it stabilize and drop (or up) slowly, the country at least has some time to adjust its policy and economy resources in order to adapt the new condition. So actually, we are lucky that Malaysia started the adjustment quite some years ago, so that today we are not that heavily affected.

If OPEC cuts, I'm sure US/Canadian producers and other non-OPEC will be happy but it may not help much. Still too much oil in the market to be used up. China is slowing their factories down tremendously these past 3 quarters despite their bigger imports in Q2, most of them also goes into their storage. Maybe their govt could decide to have another major infrastructure building in the next year or so to stir up more growth and consumption.

i remember 2 days ago opec was started to mention the word 'cut production' altho they mad eno commitment. also read often in many sources that few opec nations r beginning to utilise/mobilise their reserves to sustain their economy !!!! Q is, how long can they tahan by insisting no cut, no cut ....

imho, maybe too late now....global slowdown and damage to the crude industry was done. maybe this is wha the US is hoping for, ie, to make opec 'irrelevant' in the industry.

confusing confusing ... last night crude was up up up because expectation of lower stock piles and lesser rig counts..... today stock increases !!! my oil position at open by calling my remisier on my way home. i guess i hv lost $2. better stay out altho i still believe crude will tank.
