For online transactions, which card is better? UOB VOX Card, or CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard?

For this comparison, please exclude PBB Visa Signature Card, since commoners like me are not eligible for it. blush.gif

At a glance, UOB VOX Card is better and more versatile, since it offers cashback for air ticket purchase and bill payment. One drawback is that minimum spending is RM 50, but this is not a major issue.

For CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard, it does not provide cashback for air ticket purchase. It also mandates that the bills are to be paid via standing instruction (less flexible, and we cannot choose payment amount), and gives lower cashback (2 %).

I hope that the experts can shed some light on this, and provide unbiased and fair comparison. notworthy.gif

Better in some aspects.

Pros:
i) No cross border. Nobody has reported so far for this. I think UOB doesn't have.
ii) Pure RM 50 cash back for online transactions
iii) Cash rebate for TM. (Yeay!)
iv) Cash rebate for flight tickets.
v) 5.3% cash rebate it seems.

Cons:
i) Only online transactions above RM 50 are entitled for cash rebate
ii) Slow posting of cash rebate
iii) AF based on monthly basis, need to have at least one swipe or pay for RM 6 per month

I wrote a comparison earlier and now more bill payments were proven accepted. Like TNB as well via UOBPayOnline.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: List all your needs. Petrol (Only pump shell), cash back, dining discounts, online shopping

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil.

5. Looking at CC from: any card would do as long as maximum cash back for petrol (pump ard RM800 worth every month) and annual fee waiver.

This is my first credit card guys, if you could help recommend me it would be really great!

Thanks.

Any chances there are other cards to recommend? As my traveling is not fixed and can't make sure I only pump on weekends. I normally would have to pump during weekdays as that's the time I travel the most.

1. Annual Income: N/A

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Does not matter.

3. Card required for: Air Miles Conversion.

4. Existing credit cards if any: None that has anything to do with air miles.

5. Looking at CC from: MBB Visa Infinite/ Premier / Mastercard World / Etc

6. Others: Best conversion to air miles / PPL entry overseas if possible / Oversea spending.

Saw MBB Premier that comes with an Amex Reserve, MBB VI which is a product on it's own and MBB Mastercard World which has evergreen Air Miles compared to the previous 2 which have 3 years validity.

Which one would be better in terms of overspend spending and Air Miles conversion. Got a little confused with their products :/

Open to other bank's card if the conversion rates are better / better perks compared to MBB and etc.

Thanks.

Thx. I read before that UOB likes to revise their T&C and there's an allocated sum of total cashback, first come first serve.
Will dig out at night, currently on mobile.
