1. MBB Ikhwan - Only on petrol & groceries. I don't use the card on groceries much. Mostly spending on dining. And need to wait until weekend to pump petrol. Abit restrict to me cause I travel alot. sad.gif
2. HLB Mach - Only down side of this card is that they do not have petrol category. sweat.gif
3. HLB WISE  - The only card that fits into my category.
4. AEON Watami - Only have rebates of max RM50 in Watami restaurant. Other retail outlets do not have benefits. And 18 months EPP. sad.gif

Is HLB WISE able to waive the AF as long as I swipe more than 12 every year? Or that only applicable on the first year?

Thanks.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Watami gives you 3% rebate on EVERYTHING you spent except petrol.

Hi, juz wanna ask... For annual income, bank will look at gross salary or nett ? Because if gross, monthly is rm3.3k... Nett is rm2.1k after car loan, epf, insurance.
*
Bank will look at your gross + any commitment you have (i.e. loans, etc)

I've tried to look the details about AEON cards at ringgitplus. It seems like its not really suitable for 0% EPP. Because my usage is usually for that...
*
No problem.

Get another card, i.e. PBB VS, then enjoy the 0% Balance Transfer.
By so doing, you get the cashback from AEON, you also enjoy months of interest free installments.

But you've got to be cautious with your spending.

I don't really condone 0% EPP coz people will usually buy things they can't afford with it....

( I myself is a good example  laugh.gif )

But you can always BT to Aeon Watami for 0% for 6 months.

EPP mostly available to large local banks - MBB ( easiest to have EPP since most terminals are on MBB ), HLB, PBB and some HSBC if you are lucky.

And not to mention, 0% EPP will usually be charged extra by the merchant ( 3~5% surcharge which is illegal btw )

You have to take the effort to complaint, and then wait for the refund.

Too much hassle tbh.
If can qualify for PBB VS, no need to apply for Aeon dy tongue.gif

Oh, not to forget the forex rate from SGD to MYR, too.

Hi, I am asking for my dad.
1. Annual Income: Not sure, since he is doing his own business.

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not a must

3. Card required for: Petrol (above RM1k per month), Flight Tickets

4. Existing credit cards if any: Ambank Mastercard Gold

5. Looking at CC from: Any bank will do

6. Others: No reward points, useless for him.

Thanks.

WISE Card - Petrol at 10% rebates everyday use

Is flight tickets bought online or through office/agent?
If online, can consider VOX from UOB

if income is high, go for MBB Premier for air miles collection

1. Annual Income:  RM60K to RM100K (basic 60k, incentive uncertain)

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Prefer free or waive-able unless I do utilize the benefits kao kao

3. Card required for:
Often spends on groceries/retail item (supermarket) (anywhere 5k-10k a month)
Dining or drinking ~ 2k
Petrol ~ RM500
Airticket (usually Airasia) ~ Let's put it at minimum RM1k a month

4. Existing credit cards if any:
Maybank2Card Gold
OCBC Titanium
Stan Chart Business Plat
Citibank Business Plat (cancelling it in 5 minutes)

5. Looking at CC from: Preferable not from Citibank (They spam too much with their insurances product)

6. Others:
I would love to have free access to airport lounge since I travel quite frequently but those card usually have higher than what I earn requirement (120-180k)
What is the best card I can get in rewards/benefit according to my spending behaviour? (All the card I am holding now are practically useless, all their benefits have been removed lol)
*
try these:
- HLB WISE (dining, grocery)
- HLB MACH (dining)
- MBB VS (Petrol, Grocery)
- AEON Big Gold (grocery, petrol, lounge)

1. Annual Income: RM100K to RM150K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: -

3. Card required for: List all your needs. AirMiles, Free Plaza Premium Lounge Access

4. Existing credit cards if any: M2C, CIMB CR Plat MC, HLB WISE

5. Looking at CC from: PBB VS, Ambank WMC, mainly looking for good visa signature

6. Others: Actually looking for something that will collect good airmiles/points when used locally for like Rm2-5k transactions that are not under any category e.g. Car repairs, house downpayments, expensive packages etc. Was looking at Maybank VS but they're slashing the PPL tomorrow, seems less worthy. Although it only collects 1xTP.
*
You didn't mention if AF is a must.

If yes, you are down to Ambank WMC (with conditions) and RHB VS (5X) that allows PPL access.
Ambank WMC will have airmiles collection.
