1. Annual Income: around RM40k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: prefer annual fee waiver, however conditional waiver (excludes minimum annual spending amount) can be accepted too.

3. Card required for: Cover most online transactions, preferably includes airline ticket purchases too.

4. Existing credit cards if any: HLB WISE, UOB ONE, MBB2 card

5. Looking at CC from: CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard (not include flight ticket), UOB VOX (AF waiver requirement a bit troublesome, not sure about cash back for flight ticket booking), PBB Visa Signature (hard to get with my annual income, not sure about cash back for flight ticket booking)

6. Others: It will be my secondary card which covers most online purchases, preferably including flight ticket purchases.

you can consider AEON Watami card, if you can secure RM3K per quarter spending, then you can use it for anything at 3% cashback.

Though 1k monthly spending for a secondary card is quite heavy for me, but thanks for the recommendation i really did overlooked this card when researching for suitable card smile.gif
*
the good thing about this card is, it doesn't care what category of expenses you are going to spend on, they are all eligible, that including insurance that usually a huge amount. You can consider using this card only at the quarter when you are going to spend big, since it's secondary anyway.

Guys I just got my HSBC visa platinum card (the reward card). But recently stumbled across the thread in this forum.. Kinda worried now. Is it a good points card? Scare of annual fee can't waive also later... Anyone got any good/bad experiences with it?
*
can't say it is a good or bad card.

As long as it meets what you want, it is a good card, right? smile.gif

spend sometimes to read on, you'll pick up something along the way.

since there is no clear definition on 'purchasing', I am recommending AEON Watami for your general purchasing.
the condition is that you need to spend RM3k in 3 months to get 3% cash rebate on your expenses (except petrol).

1. Annual Income:

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or by calling them but if possible free. Too lazy

3. Card required for: utilities, Pharmacy and others

6. Others: Im using HLB Wise and I'm happy with it. the 3 categories are phone, groceries and fuel. Want a second card for all the others expenses especially utilities.

Thanks
*
Don't think there are any good card with attractive CB for Utilities payment. But many have been getting around it by opting for card that offers CB for Groceries and/or Online transaction to pay for utilities.

Without knowing your annual income, I am assuming the range below 60k, then you can consider the following:

Online CB:
- UOB VOX
- CIMB CR
- AEON Watami

Groceries CB:
- MBB Ikhwan
- HLB MACH
- AEON Watami

1. Annual Income: RM50K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes/auto-waive with minimal swipes

3. Card required for: List all your needs
online shopping(e.g lazada....)

Priority on reward point, it is good if point are nvr expired.
*
Go for Cashback which is way more valuable than reward points.
Current reward points value is approx. 20,000 point for RM50

Recommendation:
1. CIMB Cash Rebate (Free AF; 5% cash back on online purchase, capped at RM30 per month)
2. UOB VOX (Free monthly fee with 1 swipe; cashback eligible for online spend of min RM50)
3. AEON Watami (Free AF with 12 swipes; 3% cashback for anything you spend, provided you spend minimum RM3000 per quarter)

If you die die must want points:
1. MBB Amex Card 2 (Free for life; 5x points for every RM1 every day (approx. 1.25% cashback); 5% cashback and 5x points for Dining on weekends)

Hi Thanks for the recommendation, but currently I got the AMEX, but some of the online shopping side do not accept AMEX, that why I am thinking to apply another one, the reason I want for reward is unlimited gain, for cash rebate it had the capped rebate (FYI, 1 and 3 I got already), Any other cc with more reward point and able redem with low reward point?
*
You've pretty much own the best cc already. biggrin.gif

Would have been nice if you followed the stipulated format, then I didn't have to recommend something that you have already owned.

3. Card required for:  (spending as below)
Petrol - RM300 monthly
Dining - RM300 - 500 monthly
TnG - RM50 per month
Phone bill - First 38 + GST = RM40.28 at least, sometimes will pay RM50 one shot.

1. MBB Ikhwan
2. HLB Mach
3. HLB WISE (as you have said)
4. AEON Watami

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM80K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or if the bank allow to waive yearly after reviewing (if it's really that good CC)

3. Card required for: List all your needs (spending as below)
Petrol - 220 monthly - Shell
Insurance - 1500 yearly
Car Maintenance - 1500 yearly
Dining - 300 a month
Pet food - 300 a month

Required : Looking mainly for Cash Back/Rebate Card

4. Existing credit cards if any: Citibank normal card (supplementary for the last 11 years) with reward points, cancelled HLB Wise because i can't meet 10 swipes a month and cancelled Standard Chartered World Miles.

5. Looking at CC from: Maybank /CIMB/ Citibank and open to others

Seems like a good card:
1) MBB 2 cards
2) CIMB platinum
3) Citibank platinum cash back

The plan:
1) Cancel the main and supplementary card for Citibank in the next few months since we don't really want rewards. Cash back is better
2) Switch current card to Citibank platinum cash back but it is subject to if the bank can do yearly waiver for all the cards like the current card
3) Get a spare CC that is free for life in case of an emergency - CIMB platinum has better cashback than MBB i think.
4) I might need one card that is good for my overseas travel this year
5) Any reviews about applying from ringgitplus? Seems like they have free gifts/voucher to be given
*
1. MBB Ikhwan (for your petrol - free AF)
2. HLB Mach (for your dining - free AF with 12 swipes)
3. AEON Watami (this is general purpose cashback card, good for your spending patterns - free AF with 12 swipes)

Use the combination of cards to achieve maximum cash rebates.
