You can play 1080p high settings on most recent games at 30fps with no stuttering with a modest 960. Are you willing to play at 30fps?

1440p at 120hz/144hz is overwhelmingly a much better gameplay experience than 4k30p (or 60 if you can afford multi cards).

Unfortunately the new Dell UP3017Q is using DP1.2 only, so that means it cheats by using 4:2:0 instead of 4:4:4. The input lag is also something of a mystery now (I'm willing to bet it is in the high 20s) plus no Gsync (nor Freesync either, because DP 1.2.. ugh).

Prices look cheap there because of several things:

1) Tax is not inclusive and depending on the state, tax rates are DIFFERENT. Think like GST 6% throughout the whole nation?
2) They have mail-in rebates. But do you know how much of a hassle mail-in rebates are?
3) The market there is far, far, farrrrr bigger than our puny ass market where people are complaining about why their intergrated GPUs can't run high-end games. Quantity dictates prices in the US.
