do you happen to change your rear strut bar ?

i changed mine to UR's , after few months of usage, the rear absorber link on the right broke, the screw is loose and the sound of metal clanking can be heard.

changed the right rear absorber link, the left one pulak rosak  rclxub.gif , lastly changed both lol and the strut bar back to default one , no more sound.

the mechanic told me it's because of the UR strut bar  rclxub.gif

Nola got 2 diff sound. The first one is the bushing rubbing with the arb. I just change the bush.

Second sound is the metal sound, the rear absorber link that holds both end of the anti-roll bar. The nut is loose and that explains the metal crackling sound.

Had the car checked today regarding my post about the cvt whining problem. Turns out it aint normal, one of the forumer here said it is normal. It's the gearbox, and the car has no more warranty ( over 100k km ) and that thing cost lile 30k lol but the guys at the COE said it is possible for Proton to change it for foc, gonna have to do a report n provide evidences of the problem ( sounds / video of the cvt noise ) and submit a PCRS (not sure whats the acronym stands for) and wait for the reply. If everything is all ok, they gonna change the gearbox. sweat.gif

Hard type, got it. Yeap, i've changed the rear absorber link and the anti-roll back to default. Got a bit of discount with staff purchase for the link, can save few ringgit lol

I usually got the CVT whinning sound when I drive uphill like Genting. On highway i experience before as well but not a frequent thing. Clocking 80k mileage soon on my 2.0
