QUOTE(ffrulz @ Sep 2 2015, 11:53 AM) [attachmentid=4866795] How much the damage bro?Got my Idler pulley a few minutes ago. Proton decided to recall 5k cars but somehow my car not in their list even though my chassis is 4k+. No idea how they decide on which cars to recall. Decided to replace it on my own expense instead as I noticed by Tensioner is wobbling a little already. Managed to source for the Hyundai metal pulley instead of the plastic Mitsubishi version. |

QUOTE(ffrulz @ Sep 12 2015, 03:44 PM) For those who wish to replace the tensioner pulley to the hyundai metal version will have to note that the stock belt length is too short. My stock lala belt is 6PK2563..2012 2.0EYou will need a longer belt. Stock belt for my MY2011 car is 2560 mm. You will need at least 2580 mm. EVO X using 26xx mm which is too long AFAIK. QUOTE(k!nex @ Oct 10 2015, 06:10 PM) Need some opinions for those who have mod their extractor. Stainless steel rm850 is it Turbo S?I have been given 2 material options for 4-2-1 extractors, Aluminized Steel ( Malay ppl call it "paip putih" it seems ?) or Stainless Steel . Price wise, "AS" is RM480 and "SS" is RM850 including my request to put back the original heatshield thus need to weld back the mounting for it. I am aware that Stainless Steel will most likely last much longer than Aluminized Steel due to better corrosion resistance but does it justify the price ? I have seen 2 samples of both extractors, in terms of smoothness from the inside of the pipe, Stainless Steel feels smoother. The shape and size is the same. The exhaust shop owner do inform me that there will be those "flowing water" sound or buzzing sound after changing the extractor which I believe a lot of people here who bought from SuperCircuit is facing. However, I was informed that Aluminized Steel versions have less noise than Stainless Steel. So does it make sense ?? I am driving a 1.8 MT and I am not expecting much power gains. I only want to shift the powerband to the lower rpm range for better drivability. |

QUOTE(k!nex @ Oct 11 2015, 02:34 PM) Yes sir. He said he can custom do back the heat shield bracket for me. Heard they provide good workmanship..been there last 5 years looking for my sx8 extractor..quoted 300++..being a cheapskate, i went to Yew Exhaust glenmarie, cost me rm230..haha..I got another friend did with everco. Around the same price like SuperCircuit but his one also the pipe joint cracked once but Everco repair for free la. But then I don't want take the risk. Btw, yew exhaust selling hotbit 421 extractor at rm680 siap pasang..latest price..not plug n play like turbo s or super circuit.. Everco one i think rm1k++ |

To those facing dashboard rattles problem, try this solution:
1. Change stock HU panel with Evo X HU panel, taiwan will cost around rm60-100 2. Put gap sealer (foam or sponge) at both sides of glove box. I used grey colour one 3. Pull a bit your meter brightness adjuster button to make it ngam2 fit 4. Cut off the dashboard metal pivot at the both sides of A pillar (evo x forum suggested to use glue, grease etc..but i just cut it off Ive done the above methods, solved 98% of the rattles problem This post has been edited by Kirie: Oct 17 2015, 11:38 PM |
