its built more for metal than a classic wah sound. however u can really tweak it to get the sound u want as there are alot of knobs for u to tweak. for ori crybaby u can lower the LO (totally down) while putting the Q higher(til what u want). of course, if u just want a crybaby sound, go get a crybaby. wd7 is a wah on its own, not a modelling wah whatsoever. cool thing with it other than able to tweak ur sound is that u can choose between auto switch function or manually(more traditional) switch function to turn the wah on.

sean, its bad coz thats what happens when its past midnight and u grab ur guitar to solo over a track not too familiar with. haha. in the middle u can hear melody was so off. anyways, the point was to show how the wah sounds as i use it.

i dont play entirely cleanly. still need to work esp when i sweep pick.
most of the time i dont mute, unless i change strings very often and fast(thus therell be alot of noise) when soloing This post has been edited by echobrainproject: Feb 6 2007, 09:48 PM |

QUOTE(joeboto @ Feb 6 2007, 10:08 PM) dang, that 'dijamin sampai esok' cant be trusted.. guess post msia is getting worse. i use to send stuff from east msia to west msia and it gets here the next day.hmm... i dont solo very much but everytime i solo, esp the 1st string, when bending it, my finger always touching the 2nd string, thus creating B tone. grrr.... |

QUOTE(Criptonox89 @ Feb 7 2007, 12:46 AM) Oh...hair band really do help to reduce messy sounds....? what type of hairband....some are furry some are not too.... not too furrythat doesnt sound rite. anyways, its only used when u're soloing, not when u need open strings and stuff. i only use it when i do taps all the time or when i do slaps and harmonics on my acoustic(as the open string ringing will mix with the harmonics when i 'slap' my acoustic) |

yes its true u need to train your pinky finger. for me strength is not a problem (some of u remember an old video i posted here? i solo and do bends with my pinky). one exercise i recommend is the gary hoey exercise (hammer on and pull offs).

knowing the rebellion spirit in most metal fans, getting TOO big and dominating might not be a good thing. might just backfire on them(the label).
anyways, cant wait for DT's new album. and also g3 dvd. petrucci and paul gilbert jamming!!!! |

im back in kuching. no electric for me at the moment....
but thank God i have a baby taylor to travel with. so i guess i would focus more on acoustic tapping, slapping, etc techniques. more towards players like justin king. also brought bck with me my mini portable studio with my laptop and m-audio midi controller so can make some digital music. gosh, wish i own a m audio finger trigger too! |
