the most important shit to play guitar is TUNING. yeah, there's still a lot of ppl dunno how to tune! most of my friend didnt learn the basics, when i say F#, he didnt know which fret is it. what a noob.
plus, when i tune my guitar to drop tuning and play the chords straight, they say i play 'sumbang', haha!

Well, we all started that way. Heck..... you name a note on the fret board and I STILL can't find it..... really. I suck at fretboard theory......
My guitar teacher always "marah" me on my fretboard theory........

-Get yourself an accoustic guitar, forget them classical or electric ones...they just will make your wonder more and play/practice less...
-play songs from Clapton (if you can lah), Malay balad(Malay ballads song usually has the simplest chrod progression), then slowly try to pluck one string at a time for playing songs such as Don't Cry by Guns & Roses or Pennyroyal Tea by Nirvana.,
- Again dont think in 2-3 months you can progress yet to electric or what so ever...play your accoustic guitar, play it feel it, know what the hell is A,B,C,D,E,F,G and the popular E minor chords...Dont wonder off using expensive/branded strings, coz normal strings also has the same result if you can't play properly.
-1 day play at least 2 hours...Forget eating, dating, surf Porn or whatsover, just keep on playing until you've perfected your chord fingering, then slowly progress to more sharp, flat notes and also power chords...

In maybe (if God forbid) 8 years...you can be a guitar soothing player already...all you need is a song, the notes and away you play...


Can also, but such rare cases we have extravegant IQ's...so not all peopla can achieve what you've progress with your method...but then again it doesnt hurt to try..


It can be done, and possible proven..but then again not everybody has the right I.Q in music or the perfect had techniques...

Can...but if your bridge is the normal button/pin type you are unable to tie those strings to the bridge...
