Now i'm working on sweep picking(not really progressing yet)
still doing some simple patterns like
12---------------------------13
---13---------------------14
-----14-----------------15
-------15------------14
---------14-------13
-----------13--12

over and over

i started out doing 3 string runs then slowly increase now i'm on 6 string runs, haven't moved on to adding hammer-ons and pull offs yet, wanna get the coordination right first

overtones are like tones over tones? haha i dunno how explain but i can give examples. when performing pinch harmonics you're eliminating the note and just letting the overtone ring. or like randy blythe from lamb of god when he reaches high notes he uses overtones to get there(cant really do it yet)

@ rust reaver: yeah same problem here when i go descending its very messy.

can you guys sing and play at the same time?

i can play chords and sing a little bit but when the strumming pattern changes my singing goes wayy off. and don't start on plucking and singing

and i have no vocal training whatsoever haha.
gonna audition for my school performance coming up, no time to practice going audition liao haha. and i cant get the chorus right, cant coordinate singing and playing

today i practice like siao 4 hours+ liao on and off, playing now while watching dragon ball on animax haha

but then play so long hor.. what to practice? unless just keep perfecting a song or technique ?

yeah when i'm watching tv i'll just play stuff. sometimes i dont even know what i'm playing :S

i just bought a couple of jazz III's yesterday and they feel great but i'm not used to it yet so when i pick or run through scales, i miss some strings. normal?

anyone know where i can buy these by bulk? like packs of 12's or 24's or 50's
