when i first bought my guitar i had to think real hard whether i needed a whammy bar or not, in the end i opted not to get one(didn't think i'd needed it)

right now i'm thinking of getting a distortion pedal, maybe a boss ds-1 or something relatively cheap(below 300)

you have problem using ur fingers instead of the pick? smile.gif

Added on February 21, 2007, 10:24 pmdo i pluck the guitar strings using the pick up down up down or can i just do it all the time down down down? anybody understand what i mean? laugh.gif
*
i alternate pick 95% of the time, I trained it ever since i started using the pick and i love it laugh.gif

i used to love finger plucking but now i like the speed and feel of the pick more. But when it comes to plucking with the pick i'm not very accurate at it(gotta look at the strings most of the time). I used to be able to pluck without looking but dunno what happened now, gotta anchor my pinky on the pick guard cry.gif

YES! The UX1 and UX2 are very good.

Will be buying the KB37 next month...... Hopefully!
The KB37 is basically a UX2 with the added bonus of a half scale keyboard as well..... will need it for my Audio Design class.

Oh... and sorry. Didn't understand your picking question. Like echo says, make alternate picking a habit. I practiced Alternate Picking by using pentatonics. Also, my teacher thought me a new method of Alternate Picking... basically picking in a circular motion using your thumb and index finger.
*
That was what my teacher first taught me, i could play without looking at the strings then.
