from what i gather...
his clinic ties-in with the asian beat grand final.
ie. same day.

finals start at 7pm.
his clinic supposedly is at 730pm.

he'll be at the curve the day after at 3pm.

this is all a chance for him to show off his new yamaha signature.

do you have the exact details ? date etc.

Will be going curve at around 5, so I'll see if the tickets are in. I'll pay for you first, np.

I'll check out Midi Specialist and see how.
BTW... CK Music selling the UX1 for 565 and the UX2 for 860.

If Midi Specialist has the Fast Track Pro in stock for around the same price, then ya, I'll get that. If not, will go for the UX2 instead.

i just dropped by the guitar store to look at pedals, and i tried the moen VM pedal. the sound was great! listed price RM285 but he quoted me RM250.
initially i had my eyes set on the ds-1 and the bad monkey but the ds 1 had no stock so i tested out the bad monkey.

i really liked the moen pedals, both VM(violent Metal) and DM(distortion Master). You guys should check it out too. As for the ds1 i already ask them to bring in more stock(will arrive in a week)

the shop keeper called me just now and asked me which ds1 i wanted; original or modified :S

whats the difference between original and modified?

Added on March 3, 2007, 7:18 pmi just bought "tickets" for the wes borland clinic too

oh em gee not another immature forum war..

@soulfly: last time i didn't have enough money to even buy an acoustic guitar tongue.gif until i inherited my sisters classical(i still use and take care of it now) the classical was in pretty bad shape but now i touch up change strings looks nice again thumbup.gif
like you, i played those songs using a classical, palm muting on a classical is funny nod.gif

it was only last november when i finally had enough money to get a decent guitar(didn't want to get something too cheap) so saved money everyday don't eat in school then can get liao biggrin.gif

Like soulfly has pointed out, practice makes perfect. biggrin.gif
Try practicing the singing & strumming seperately and master them, in the sense that you know the tune inside out (When to come in during the verse, what patterns to strum etc...). Then try out both simultaneously with a slower tempo. When you start to get the hang of it, push the tempo up to the studio speed & you should be able to fare better this time. Again... practice is the key. smile.gif

I'm not good at singing and playing yet, still got a long way to master it.
i can give some tips(stuff i do)

what i do is i put the name of the chord on top of the lyrics so i know when to change chord according to the song(eventually you'll 'feel' it)
if you practice that way, you will eventually know when to change the chord, like on which word of the lyric.

another thing is to practice each part seperately. for me i find playing while distracted is a good practice such as watching tv while you strum sub consciously or ask your friend to give you simple math sums icon_rolleyes.gif

hope this helps.
