its epiphone, and all epiphone pickups are muddy. even the original pickups in my LP custom was based on the 57 classic plus and 57 classic. apparently they sounded something like gibson 57 classics but with half the output, so basically nowhere there i never bothered to try them out much anyway since EMGs went in right away. actually i only really put EMGs in guitars that i feel like messing around on, and to use for metal. my strat and normal SGs are for all the classic stuff, and those will remain untouched. almost any decently high output passive pickup can do that.
dimarzio super distortion, duncan JB, just general choices that can do that.

thing is from the clips JB doesnt really sound middy enough afaik the clips were recorded using a lp the duncan distortion sounds closer to what i want tho lol
JB n Jazz so common la
lets try JB n Alnico II pro or heck maybe i'll just keep my neck pickup, just that the output is really abit too high ><
jazz vs alnico II pro vs 59
lol nanti tak tukar pun then i will really laugh lol =p

Well, have you experimented long enough to know what kind of tone/sound you want from your guitar? If it's a solid YES.... then go for a pedal setup that matches your amplifier. If it's a MAYBE or a NO..... then go get a Multi-FX unit.
If on a budget, I recommend the Zoom 2.1u if you plan to do recording (Because it has a built in USB connection) or if recording is not important to you, get the Korg Tonewarks AX1500g for better tones.
Of course, if you have cash to spend, try out the POD Xt Live (Or their smaller Floor Pod), the Digitech GNX series or the Boss GT-8. I WOULD highly recommend the Vox ToneLab SE.... but unfortunately, they don't make 'em anymore. They do sound excellent (especially their amp simulators) and have a decent selection of effects.

cool.. thanx for all the suggestions.. would be wonderful tho if u can add the price range for the items.. so i know wer i can budget them..
well.. i start to learn back so i guess multipedals like zoom is good for me.. and USB is good.. cuz maybe in the future i might wanna record it down myself..

My new guitar. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Not. It's my lecturer's guitar. Played with it for at least 1.5 hours. It's a Gibson btw. He got it off eBay for RM3k unplayed, the original owner had 15 other guitars, bought it on an impulse and realised he wasn't going to play it. Didn't put it in Flash Us coz it's not mine.

Yeah.... I think he meant Pinch Harmonics. Trust me..... it'll take a quick time to learn, but LONG time to perfect. I think I'm the one using TONS of Pinch Harmonics here...... kind of my Signature thing...... but basically following the footsteps of my Guitar God.
