everdying, im not sure with guitar electronics, but can if i get the burstbucker 2 pickups for my les paul can i just wire it back the same way as my current les paul wiring? need to change any pots?
*
obviously depends how many wires the burstbucker has, and how many wires your current pickup has right?
and of cos you cant always wire back the same way, cos different wires can lead somewhere else.
thats why gibson has wiring diagrams.

pots, all up to you, current pots work fine, but better pots of cos sound better.

and if you still want to get that burstbucker, go ahead, just dont complain here later about excessive noise or feedback tongue.gif

I used Ernies..... but I find them snapping REALLY easily.
Now switched to GHS (and soon Dunlop.... hahahaha.... where Zakk goes... I go!) for my Les Pauls and D'addarios for the Jackson.
Will switch to D'addarios for the "Crap-strat" once I get that fixed.

wasnt this all mentioned before? tongue.gif
burstbucker pro is the way to go, as its the only one among the range that is potted.
the burstbucker 1, 2 and 3 are not potted, as they follow vintage specs.
all of cos sound very good, but only if you're not going high gain with the 1, 2 or 3.

remember, there were no big stadium arena rock during the 50s...

so for that and also more vintage sounding, again the best way is burstbucker pro or '57 classic.

not sure if there are any production gibsons that come with burstbucker 1, 2 or 3.
even the LP standards now all have burstbucker pros.

wax potted.
as in how humbuckers with covers usually have wax filling in them.

basically if they're not wax potted, any air between the humbucker and the cover will cause microphonic feedback at high vol / gain.
