the guy called intune?
most of his stuff look list price, and 5% off is pretty pathetic.
except for his jamlab price, cos new ones coming in are RM255 list.
if you walk in and talk to the boss also you can probably get 10% off some products.

actually, why do you want the fasttrack?
i feel the line6 UX1 is a much better buy for about the same price, cos the software is more suited towards guitarists.

the toneport ux1/ux2 includes the gearbox software which has popular amp emulators, effects etc.

both toneport and fasttrack also comes with the ableton recording software, so you're not missing out on anything there.

YES! The UX1 and UX2 are very good.

Will be buying the KB37 next month...... Hopefully!
The KB37 is basically a UX2 with the added bonus of a half scale keyboard as well..... will need it for my Audio Design class.

Oh... and sorry. Didn't understand your picking question. Like echo says, make alternate picking a habit. I practiced Alternate Picking by using pentatonics. Also, my teacher thought me a new method of Alternate Picking... basically picking in a circular motion using your thumb and index finger.

you have problem using ur fingers instead of the pick? smile.gif

Added on February 21, 2007, 10:24 pmdo i pluck the guitar strings using the pick up down up down or can i just do it all the time down down down? anybody understand what i mean? laugh.gif

i alternate pick 95% of the time, I trained it ever since i started using the pick and i love it laugh.gif

i used to love finger plucking but now i like the speed and feel of the pick more. But when it comes to plucking with the pick i'm not very accurate at it(gotta look at the strings most of the time). I used to be able to pluck without looking but dunno what happened now, gotta anchor my pinky on the pick guard cry.gif

Then i guess it's better for me to start now. I will pluck better with the pick when i look at the strings too. *sigh*

Learn as many picking techniques as possible. But make Alternate Picking a must. And practice starting with BOTH UPstroke and DOWNstroke.

A good way to learn various picking techniques is getting hold of DVD lessons from Eric johnson,Petrucci's Rock Disciple and Michael Angelo Batio's Instructional. these 3 gave me alot of insight on various picking techniques and how to use and implement them.

Blacktrix the technique you use is something like Mark Knofler and Jeff Beck's technique right? Do you use a thumb pick?
