you can get LP ZW here, but pretty overpriced at close to RM4k.

as for the custom or standard, if your friend doesnt mind, check the used market.
usually can find them anywhere from RM1400-1600.

if hes a ZW fan, the custom plus is the only epi with maple neck, apart of cos from the ZW model.

....... and also have to upgrade the pickups to EMG Actives, which again adds to the cost.

I got my LP ZW from the states. The only other ZW LP I saw was hanging in Rhapsody in Mid Valley at a very over priced RM3999.

is your LP epi or ori gibson?

that means you're saying that Malaysia is overpriced?

How about singapore Swee Lee?

and the pickups total cost would be?

Custom Plus and ZW model price diff? which is cheaper and the differences? what will you suggest? I'm not really into LP's. . . so i don't really wanna give him advice just in case i give a wrong one

If it was a Gibson, I'd be swimming in money already tongue.gif
No.... it's an Epiphone... Bought it for 799USD Before Taxes.
And the pickups were an extra RM700.

If you can find an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus, then yes.... that would be cheaper.... but then again..... if you wanted a Zakk Wylde guitar..... you gotta have the Bullseye design!

Also, the Epi Custom Plus is quite rare to find these days and some shops might charge a premium for that.

Bottomline, if you want a Zakk Wylde Bullseye, get a Zakk Wylde Bullseye. If you want a Les Paul Custom, get a Les Paul Custom.

SMX will be bringing in the M-audio jamlab soon.
list price RM255.
much cheaper alternative for those who want to record guitars.
so better call them up if you want them to bring more, cos right now they're gonna bring a few units, ie. less than 5.

they previously brought in 2 units, both of cos gone now.

Added on February 21, 2007, 9:37 pmi'm having the toughest time playing using the pick. I mean using my fingers is much more flexible especially playing the scales but using the pick, my scales has become a disaster. sweat.gif

Oh... you mean chicken picking.... It's a little hard to upstroke. Normally, it's all downstroke for me.
Practice banjo rolls to get better at it.

And yes, the M-Audio sounds tempting...... but still waiting for either the UX2 or the KB37

that person takes stock from SMX.

i think blacktrix has been confused by bluesilver tongue.gif

chicken picking is using a combination of pick and fingers.

bluesilver wants to learn how to use the pick properly.
practice, practice, practice.

one thing most guitarists do for picking stability when picking slow/moderate stuff, is to anchor their little finger sometimes with ring finger on the body.
some grip the high E when playing on lower strings, then back to anchor on body.
you'll have to see pics, or actually see someone play to understand.

strictly plucking...
if you're never ever gonna plan on playing 16th notes at say 150bpm, then do whatever plucking you want that feels comfortable.
