Do you sing as well? Although I can't sing very well, I love to play while singing. biggrin.gif After a whole day of work, it's the best way to release all your inner stress. I love that song High by James Blunt because the falsetto in the chorus gets everything bad in the heart out in an instant. biggrin.gif

What songs do you usually play anyway?
*
I think i can sing. You wanna hear me sing and play? blush.gif i'll record it one of these days and let you hear k? The last song that i practise while singing was Tyler Hilton's Glad.

yea you should.. those picks to me are the best picks to use if you play alot of scales and runs. because of its small, thick and flat feel it actually makes you play faster as opposed to big flat picks. used to use the vai ibanez / fender thick picks but changed very soon after.

the smaller it is, less motion is required, thus mroe speed =D

if im not mistaken yes its the nylon ones but remember dont get the purple stubby ones. but it depends on individuals as some ppl like stubby picks. i prefer to not be able to feel so much of the pick.

THe jazz 3 comes in either red or black. i use the red ones only.. dont know why.. found out after using that the same goes for a few shredders out there.. they seem to go around doing interviews saying "I use Dunlop Jazz III RED picks" =.=

i felt both the red and black and i feel more comfortable with the red ones.

I use to swear by the small red stubby picks. Then switched to the Jazz III (although I preferred the black one because it seemed to have a better grip).

Now I've switched to the small purple Dunlop Tortex HS3 picks, which are maybe just a wee bit bigger than the Jazz III. The grip is very, very good...

The HS3 is good for rhythm since you can dig in and go <chugg-chugg-chugg>, but it is small enough that it's good for fast runs as well... you can still glide over the strings without too much of the pick dipping in between strings.

Problem with the HS3 is though, it's kinda hard to get and when it's brand new, the edge is really, really sharp... sad.gif

It's kinda hard in the beginning but eventually it gets fun and addictive. biggrin.gif

It's like rediscovering the guitar. smile.gif

Haha, that would be great. I think a mp3 player with a built-in mic should be good enough for decent recordings lar. I think everybody here won't mind the poor sound quality hehe. nod.gif

If you want to go into home recording, you need quite a lot of stuff and they aren't cheap. Nonetheless it's far from being impossible. biggrin.gif
