I wanna do some recording of my own playing(to see how i'm doing) but not sure what softwares to use, I did a search and found this but i'm still not sure which is a good setup. Anyone can give some software reccomendations?

also if I record my guitars, I have to directly plug it into my PC right? need what cable ?

and i also need a drum beat simulator (kinda recording 1 man band thing)

I made a Gary Moore patch on my ToneLab SE to be played with a Les Paul...... it sounds pretty close to Still Got The Blues..... but with a little more Reverb.

your guitar cable lah, goes into line in at the back of your PC (use big to small jack).

asio is a driver which is low latency one. u strum ur guitar, then u can hear it thru ur speaker without lag.

Have to give "props" to Led_Zep for letting me use his Marshall MS-2.... don't worry. It's in good hands.

It sounds really amazing for such a tiny little fella!

ah winkybear, can u tell me usually what do u learn in classical playing? Is it the same as learning ordinary guitar? for example, learning the chords, then scales, then tabs.. or something else?

If you're going for exams, have to read sheet music. Most (if not all) classical songs comes in sheet music anyway. Songs that you learn are classical songs (of course smile.gif ), and its more towards technique and control. Have to really pay attention to the dynamics etc. You'll learn songs from the baroque, romantic, classical and modern era.

Erm...I dont think there's much improvising, unless you're composing. My ex-classical guitar teachers so far depend more on sight reading than listening, and just increasing their repertoire in songs. Never really paid attention to practicing scale patterns throughout my time learning to play the classical guitar. Exams emphasises more on the pieces anyway.
