Don't curse me-lah. I am still topping up my China linked funds.  tongue.gif

But I have no wrap account. So I have to do the poor man's version of the wrap account to avoid paying the sales charges. The transactions are still "hanging" in cyberspace.

Idea Of The Week: 3 Misconceptions Of Our Recommended Unit Trusts List [10 July 2015]

The Recommended Unit Trusts List has been a popular annual feature amongst investors, with several fixed income segments, major regional markets, sub-regional as well as single country equity funds being highlighted in our annual publication which has continued to expand over the years as we continue to bring on-board more and more products on the platform. In this Idea Of The Week, we take the time to correct some popular misconceptions investors might have had with regards to the featured list.

1. RECOMMENDED UNIT TRUSTS = BEST RETURNS
2. IT'S THE ONLY SET OF UNIT TRUSTS ONE CAN BUY
3. I HAVE TO OWN THEM ALL!

Wrap account is a unit trust investment platform where multiplies fund houses fund are WRAPPED into one account. Almost similar to fundsupermart but wrap account has free switching fee with no limit. The tradeoff for this is you have an annual fee of 1% (depending on your advisors) for mantaining the account.

hmm.gif just becareful of over % of allocation in the portfolio...after topup maybe will be more than the limits of risk appetite.

I think it is a good time to top up...just that the index will not be reaching the previous high for some times....
China market are played by 85% retail investors, whom got burnt just recently.....it will take some times for them to get back in, in a fury manners
fundamentally China is still FSM's 5 star ratings...long term is good
and Algozen's ball just said reversion of mean is at good probability too.

My Ponzi 2.0 IRR from 20%+ dropped to 10%

The only fund in my portfolio now with IRR >20% is Global Titanic.

The bubble in Shanghai A shares was in the small-mid caps

Blue chips are still fundamentally sound and priced fairly, if not attractively
I quote this from the Schroeder report I linked from FSM recently

Furthermore, Ponzi 2.0 is invested more into Hong Kong-listed "S" shares wink.gif

hmm.gif just curious at your Ponzi 2.0 IRR....dropped by 50%...much bigger than the drops in SSE at about 35%
This IRR dropped to 10%, how much % does the ROI of yr Ponzi 2.0 drops?

I don't track ROI, I only track IRR.

And...drop in rate of IRR vs drop in absolute terms...not a fair comparison. Two different things.
