I wish we can just put option files like in previous consoles. This restrictions on PS4 is just too contrived. I know they want to prevent some sort of piracy but this is just restrictive.

PES 2017: E3 REVEAL

More details about PES 2017 have been announced in an official press release issued today by Konami at E3, where the game is on display.

The announcements reiterates the Fundamental Gameplay Changes such as Real Touch and Precise Pass which were announced in the official reveal last month. Many of these are showcased in the official game trailer (above) – which gives fans the first glimpse of the game in action.

A whole host of new features and quality improvements surrounding the game were also detailed in the release including:

EDIT DATA SHARING

First up, Edit Data Sharing is available on Sony PlayStation 4 for the first time. meaning that created teams and players can be transferred onto consoles via USB. This data sharing will be multi-regional allowing European users to share data with those in the US or Asia and vice-versa.

This obviously has massive implications for the PES community and will allow those within it to build on the work they did with the image importer on PES 2016.

No mention has been made with regards to edit data sharing – or indeed edit mode as a whole, on other platforms including Microsoft Xbox One. Likewise, no mention has been made on the number of slots that will be available to add new data.

MYCLUB

Changes have been made to the way in which players are acquired with the addition of an auction house to sign scouts. Signing the right scout with specialty areas covering those of the desired star will yield a much higher chance of receiving him including the possibility of guaranteeing a certain player if requirements are narrowed down enough.

An auction house for scouts gives more choice in the players signed on myClub

No specific information was given on any other methods of acquiring players on myClub however it was mentioned that it would be easier to sign players below the rate of 75 through Top Agents and Special Agents.

Meanwhile on the pitch, the playing style and tendencies of online opponents can now be viewed giving players the chance to tailor their tactics and style of play in order to counteract them.

This gives a greater tactical depth to myClub matches, especially with the Advanced Instructions and Total Team Control features which were revealed alongside the official PES 2017 announcement (presuming these features are also present in myClub mode).

The playing style and approach of online opponents can now be reviewed on myClub.

If this all seems like too much change then worry not as the myClub tutorial has been refreshed to allow newcomers and veterans alike to master the mode.

MASTER LEAGUE

Additions made to Master League in PES 2016 have been further built upon with a host of features and amendments made to the famous mode.

Chief among this, is a number of changes to the transfer system including new dedicated budgets for transfers and wages. There’s more variety in negotiations such as the ability to acquire players on 6 month loan and signing the player during a loan period whilst directors will also play a role in advising on negotiations.

The last day of the transfer window has also been reworked with an element of time added to in order to recreate the excitement of deadline day in real life football.

Enhancements have also been made to the Team Role function within the mode following it’s introduction in PES 2016. A total of 22 roles now feature in the game (increased from 10 last year) including ‘Hero’ and ‘Bad Boy’ allowing more character establishment within the team.

PES2017-E3-ML-TeamRole

‘Hero’ is one of 12 new Team Roles added in PES 2017

The Player Growth system also enjoys major improvements with players not only acquiring abilities as in PES 2016 (which can now also be boosted whilst on loan) but also skills.

In addition to this, the training has been further improved and players are now able to learn their positions whilst also gaining skills and establishing a playing style that complements this. Allowing players to nurture the ideal personnel for their team.

Finally, one of the major gripes surrounding Master League on PES 2016 has been addressed with matches now taking place during both day-time and night-time hours based on real life kick off times.

VERSUS – MATCH ANALYSIS

A match tracking feature records a whole host of statistics when playing friends offline opponents from the number of games lost won and drawn to the amount of goals scored and conceded.

The playing style of users will also be tracked, giving them an in depth analysis on how they play, including their favorite moves such as sliding tackles or interceptions.

REFEREES

As we reported in our PES 2017 impressions, refereeing has been greatly improved on PES 2017 with referees able to better judge player collisions to determine whether a foul has been made.

PES2017-E3-Referee

Fouls are a lot more common in PES 2017 following referee improvements

Extra intelligence has also been added when playing the advantage rule and refs will also go back to book players if required.

STADIUMS

Although no specifics have been mentioned, the press release mentions that additional stadiums have been added from new licenses to original designs.

These are given variety by a brand new pitch turf designs and new options on goal net types in edit mode (which we exclusively revealed at PES Day).

LIVE UPDATE

Starting from day one, weekly updates will be downloadable to all offline modes to ensure team rosters are up to date throughout the season. This will include European transfers from the winter transfer window. Obviously, players will have to have an online connection to facilitate this feature.

PRESENTATION

A completely new menu design is present throughout the game to give a better user experience. Significant upgrades have also been made to the presentation of matches themselves including a new HUD and a redesigned broadcast standard highlights and replay system.

Yes No...
But Option File sharing will be similar to ps3 file sharing method. So we can just wait and download bundesliga once created by others.

I think to acquire additional licences are quite hard because of FIFA exclusive licence with EPL, Bundesliga and LA LIGA (for next FIFA 17). Fortunately Konami solved the Option File sharing issue with the PS4 version in PES 2017. So lack of licences shouldn't be major issues anymore.. thumbsup.gif
