Anyway I am currently hooked on compositions by Albinoni Tomaso. The voice of the oboe... so pleasant and graceful

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Nov 8 2007, 01:18 PM) Camille Saint-Saëns - Samson and Delilah Sent the song to you already this is an Opera... and you recommend the dance in ACT III, Bacchanale ?? anyway, I didn't found the recording in classiccat...... and never heard before for the Tchaikovsky's music, have you try the Piano Concerto No. 1?? Saint-Saëns has cello pieces that are quite good. Such as The Swan (From Carnival of Animals) Anyway I am still looking for Rach 3 and Apassionata |

QUOTE(colloquial @ Jan 9 2008, 06:02 PM) I don't know if it's the right place to ask...but I need a cello and I was quoted RM 1600 - 1800 for a Chinese factory-made one and RM 5000 for a Chinese handmade cello. Posting here might help.Aren't the prices a little steep for Chinese cellos? 'Cause I saw the prices on websites and they only range from USD$175-250 for a Chinese one and c'mon, we're nearer to China, surely delivery & insurance don't cost as much? Anyone got expertise on buying instruments? thanks! Speaking of cellos, Rostropovich the best cellist known in the world also just passed away last year... |

My favourite symphony is Gustav Mahler's 5th Symphony.
Can't really decide on the other four |
