Guys, just want to highlight something. Do check your Getrag MT gearbox the undercarriage small black plastic cover beside the exhaust manifold. Mine part of it melted even with my exhaust manifold wrapped. I don't know when it was melted but I'm thinking maybe from last phantom chase time attack event.
I also want to know what's that black plastic bit is for got 2 of them. ![]() |

QUOTE(n3w @ Aug 11 2015, 08:49 PM) If not lowered can see. If lowered kasi jack up some. Also saga LCA ball joint will kaput very fast if lowered too much. Because the ball joint is angled one. If lowered too much the ball joint boot outer side will stress a lot so pandai pandai la. Don't lowered too much. |

QUOTE(THE CLASS OF 13 @ Aug 11 2015, 10:51 PM) Yes, Lower Control Arm or lower arm...QUOTE(n3w @ Aug 11 2015, 11:12 PM) I pakai 2 finger also sudah a bit stress. Changing the ball joint is easy job if you don't mind. Saga mia ball joint bukan macam other car can change to longer stud to compensate back. I got try taking other cars ball joint to test tapi cannot...only can use back saga one. |

QUOTE(Aquariusdenz @ Sep 1 2015, 12:22 AM) If it's stuck. There's a way I found out how to remove the lower part without breaking it. When u pull the cop if the top part cabut leaving the bottom part stuck. Get some wd40 and spray into the hole where you can see the ignition coil spring. Under the spring is the spark plug. Once you sprayed already, then you start to slowly twist the bottom part to free out the bottom rubber that is sticking onto the plug ceramic. Twist a few times until you felt the twisting action is easy then you start to twist and pull up the bottom part slowly. This will make it able to remove.the action is like open a bottle of wine |

QUOTE(Aquariusdenz @ Sep 3 2015, 05:04 PM) Alright thanks for the tips. Do I pull it out by hand or any tools? Im very worried of breaking the COP as I heard it is quite expensive. Should I put some grease before I install back to prevent it stuck? QUOTE(wankel @ Sep 3 2015, 05:59 PM) I just put my hook behind the small upper vent and tugged. Now that you mention it I might be inclined to whip it out again and put a smear of silicone grease on the fitting points. I've tried putting in high temp brake grease around the rubber that fits the plug's ceramic are but it didn't work. Best is to spray some lub from the top down to free up the rubber that is stuck to the plug's ceramic top part. After you sprayed the lub use a long nose plier to twist it so free the bond DONT PULL yet. Make sure you can turn the thing then only pull + turn action...like opening a wine cork with a corker. As for a long term solution, I just measure the hole diameter when the plug fits in and buy a 0.5mm larger drill bit and drill the hole to make it bigger so that the plug can go in and out easier and no more damaging the COP or the lower part. I've posted this issue in the forum but forgot which post. and I've change my COP a few times. |
