Checking again regarding overseas income.
- Work in Malaysia - Freelance - Salary monthly via Paypal to Maybank Business Current Account Is the fund received subject to tax? Because I saw there is one column for overseas income from 01.01.2022 to 30.06.2022 with three perfent (3%) tax and another 01.07.2022-31.12.2022 is Zero (0) tax rate. Any advice? |

Hello, anyone can share about the Tax Relief 2023 for the KWSP category?
If every year I was able to maximise the tax relief with KWSP+Life Insurance. Does it affect me? Was trying to search, but not much info available online. I am referring to this one: Premium insurans nyawa (Terhad RM3,000) Caruman kepada KWSP / skim yang diluluskan (Terhad RM4,000) and the latest for 2023 have one related to self-contribution one. Not sure anyone have the info can share? |

I have a question:
If I’m working overseas, I would declare my Malaysian income as zero (0). However, I still have insurance and lifestyle in Malaysia that could be used for tax relief. Can I still declare these reliefs like this? • Income: 0 • Tax reliefs: RM5,000 Will this cause any issues with LHDN? Or is it better to just declare everything as zero? |

QUOTE(MUM @ Apr 19 2025, 09:48 AM) QUOTE(dwRK @ Apr 20 2025, 03:39 PM) if work oversea... filed cp21... no need to file local tax anymore... but looks like you didn't... I started working in Singapore in September 2024, so I would have stayed more than 180 days in Malaysia in 2024. Does that mean I’m considered a tax resident in Malaysia instead of Singapore?also is tax relief... you are not getting 5k back... As for tax reliefs, whether I fill them in or not doesn’t affect the tax amount since I’ll be paying RM 0 for 2024 anyway. But I’m still considering whether to submit the pelepasan (relief claims) or not. |
