I subscribed the CELCOM platinum plan RM 188 and EasyPhone(device installment) RM180 per month.

The postpaid plan I subscribed already included the unlimited voice call and SMS. Can deduct under “Lifestyle” - payment of monthly bill for internet subscription?

How about the device installment?

Normally we follow billed date which from Jan - Dec, 2019 right?

Hope sifus here can help to clarify it.

I have Personal Accidents Insurance with UOB Liberty insurance.

The amount can tax exempt on which category?

I just receive the statement with the gross premium paid amount stated upon request from the insurer.

It does now look like GE have seperate like medical/life.

If there's no breakdown into life/medical/education, it's very likely that you cannot claim it.

Want to know, now I plan to declare Borang B from BE.

I will register a SSM later, wonder the Borang B I can reduce the Petrol/Car service under

Perjalanan dan pengangkutan
Pembaikan dan penyelenggaraan

Wonder if Borang B can reduce more tax? Because BE I will just put the amount I receive overseas for providing service to overseas company.

Any idea when the payment made via FPX will be reflected?

Example, if my 2019 tax was RM2000, the PCB I paid until today balance is -RM2500.

Shall I pay RM2000 or no need pay anything since PCB there got balance to deduct?

hmm.gif i think tax to pay is for "last year" income
PCB is for tax to be paid for "this year' income

i am right to say that?

QUOTE(rapple @ Jun 19 2020, 09:43 AM)
PCB deduction  is for current year income YA 2020.

You cant use YA2020 PCB to offset last year YA2019 tax payable.

Usually takes few days or weeks to reflect the payment.
*
Thank you. Because 2019 I should pay RM3000 example.
PCB 2020 have balance -2800.

Now Lejar show balance 200 which I have made 3000 via FPX. But yet to reflect.

No idea. The closest link is that purchase. Otherwise not sure what else is linked.

And that’s the best part. The officer don’t know what they are taxing about. They just say for not declaring income tax for so long. And the total penalty is like twice the property.😓

And none of them can answer based on what that amount came out. They just say: It’s system. Like so blur and pluck from sky. Asked like 5 officers and they just pushing around. Then that’s when one of them suggest find accountant do. But to do what?

It didn’t even mention audit for what.
*
You have 0 income, but can buy property. Maybe this triggered them to audit you.

What they think, 0 income makan also have issue liao. How you can buy property. If by cash, where the money come? If loan installments, how you afford to pay the monthly loan installments every months? Where the money come from?

They need explanation only when audit.

after the audit and explanation given, if it is not justifiable, then they will seek to do fine/penalty right?
but now TS, tiba tiba kena penalty without any audit or interviews being made by LHDN
some more 2x the property value  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

QUOTE(yklooi @ Aug 12 2020, 05:34 PM)
that 2x of property value "could be" just a coincident numbers between the penalty and the property price.

(my imaginative scenario)
for before 2005, TS had been making alot of money and dutifully and diligently had been paying taxes for many years.
while during that time, he saved and invested those money.
The money saved can be enough to sustain him for whole life with alot to spare too.
Thus 5 yrs after he stopped working, he decided to buy a property (in 2010) with some of those money.

i think like jiaen0509 mentioned, LHDN maybe wondering how TS sustain his living expenses.
he did not declare income tax since 2005, he must have income to sustain himself.
thus if they really need to know.....they should have call TS for some audits/interviews to learn about that.

but TS got no audit/interview, but got penalty, thus i think it is most likely, that penalty is for the non submission of tax reporting issue
*
No declare tax actually is satu kesalahan. So like others here have mentioned. Even no income, you are responsible to put 0 every year.

But if 2x value of property. Maybe need to check with LHDN how thet calculate the penalty. If you tell them you earn the money before 2005. They will check you before 2005.

Just need to ask yourself whether you suppose to be taxed but you did not declare/pay the tax?

Or maybe they send you letters ask to be audited. But didn’t successfully deliver to your mailbox? Maybe you moved home already the letter sent to old address?

If you have business income, you should file Borang B regardless it is sole proprietor or partnership.

this year start to have business income. Declare 2020 on 2021.

Before 1/3/2021 for 2020. We need to register at LHDN first?

Or just 1/3/2021 just fill B form?

If income in zero, is deemed to have no business transaction.

If retired, did you officially closed your business SSM registration and bank account? If not, it is deemed you have intention to cont business or you did business but didnt declare income

A dormant SSM registration still have to comply with all legal requirements ... tax filing, renewal,  statutory filing etc.

SSM already close after business close last year. Just tax issue

Employment contract was signed under Hong Kong company to an Malaysian.
Monthly salary was sent via PayPal from the company to individual and then withdraw to Maybank.

Does the income taxable? (as I saw oversea income doesn't need to be taxed for 2022)
