Would like some advise here.

For example, my loan is 2.2K (1.5K goes to interest, 700 goes to principle amount).

Rental yield is 1.8K and maintenance fees is 300. So the nett income is 0. Should I just skip the rental income declaration part?

Hi sifus, newbie here and I have a few questions to ask.
1.) I'm currently worked for 1 year with around RM2600 (afer deduct EPF). Do I need to declare tax?
2.) And also, my employer said I don't have to declare tax because my salary is below the requirement? Is that true?
3.) Starting from last month, I have side income(hobby) from adsense, around (plus minus RM500), so with that, my income become RM3100, do I declare tax using the same Form B and declare as RM3100?

Kindly advise, Thanks!

I goggle and found this....
just not sure if it is valid...

Thanks for your reply. but still not very clear on it. Which means can declared in the Form BE?

another question is can empty the column No. Majikan?
*
are you currently working?
are that 2 CP58 sort of part time or extra income?

if yes,
just use the no: majikan of current employer, but add up the total income of ALL.
(well that is what I did last time...just not sure if that is correct of not)

Say one registered a small partnership with SSM (with spouse) in June 2017 but only start selling in July 2017.

Is filling Form B required even if the business makes a slight loss in period ending 31/12/2017 (only start seeing profit in 2018)?

Also, can fill returns jointly or separate? (spouse not working, merely a sleeping partner).

Hi all. If i buy a second hand phone from others with original receipt which purchase this year, is it i can claim it at lifestyle column on next year assume it buying by myself? Thank. (The receipt got the first hand user name)
*
hmm.gif
since the receipt bear the name of the 1st hand user, that receipt may have already been used by the first hand user to claim for tax relief.
or the LHDN may even think that you found that receipt from the waste bin that had been dropped by the owner

From the article, it said

"If you have not registered your freelance work as a business, then you can use Form BE – for individuals not carrying on a business. However, if you have registered a business, you will need to file your taxes with Form B."

So the form BE will be the same e-be form that i used to submit in e-filling as an employee? where to fill in the freelance part?

Wanna ask, registered or not registered as a business, is the pcb to be paid same amount? or better to register?
*
add in the amount earned as a freelancer to the amount you earned from that company as an employee (from EA form)...

As you mentioned earlier, I think it is system triggered and not bcoz you didnt submit.

I was also penalized for the same reason, when I bought my first house. I was in US for 8 years and prior to leaving submitted a letter personally to them to halt my income tax book since leaving the country.

Came back after 8yrs, and after 2 years of working I was penalized, same as you there was no head or tail to the reasoning, and I was given roundabout for more than a year between shah alam and kelana jaya. Then 2 years later I realized they started to deduct via pcb....i also malas already, just donated to lhdn!  mad.gif  ranting.gif
*
mind sharing how much did you kena the penalty until you can say "donate to LHDN"? biggrin.gif
TS mentioned his house valued 120k and he kena about 2x the value sweat.gif sweat.gif

QUOTE(Cookie101 @ Aug 12 2020, 03:05 PM)
....... bought a property in 2010. Value 120k but now lhdn sent a letter claiming there’s unreported taxation since 2012 and even charged penalty.

However, the employer is NOT REQUIRED to send notification about the employee ceasing employment or withhold money payable to him if:
a. Employee is subject to MTD and deduction has been made by the employer.
b. Employee’s remuneration is less than the minimum income subject to MTD.
c. Employer is aware that the employee is to be employed elsewhere in Malaysia.

as verbal communication on a topic will result in awareness of that topic
hmm.gif will verbal communication be considered as "awared" in the eye of lhdn in this case?
hmm.gif what if the information provided both in terms of verbal and in writing provided by the employee turned out to be false......will the employer still be responsible for any tax due from the above mentioned employee.?
hmm.gif will the lhdn pushed the blame to the employer with reason like, did you confirmed with the new employer?

Ya I guess there's no way around it as the wording is quite clear but really confused me why desktop pc is not allowed if WFH is the way to go for the long term as work is easier to be done on desktop with bigger monitor and keyboard.

i think MOF must have think that, if needed, Desktop can be qualified under existing lifestyle category
