QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jun 25 2015, 06:40 PM) Then I suggest you better focus first on trying to increase your income quadruple times before having any such thoughts. I thankful to my company for getting such a wonderful car.Really! I wanna to get a better for weekend drive since I am still young got long way to go and even fail easily to get backupFor just 7k+ salary, better just stick to your Vios or the same category. You already seem to have a good position anyway, getting a relatively new car from the company, why then waste money to buy your own car?? I tell you, having a company car is the best even though it's only a Vios! |

QUOTE(ngchuenlow @ Jun 25 2015, 06:22 PM) How about 20% around 70k? Would I get the loans for the rest? Coz I dont willing to put more than that. Hahahaha. Sure why not?First experiment would like to know more. THANKS 280k loan for the max 9 years, that's about 3.3k per month Leaves you with 2.3k left for other expenses, sounds like the right choice to me! That is reserved for those rich people only. Unless you're ok to just buy relatively cheap (<rm50k) simple used cars and built it as a hobby. |

Ive seen many people with good salary but really bad in spending and investment.
For ts, dont overspend your money just for the car. With that salary at your age and current situation, you can live a pretty comfortable life if you know how to spend your money wisely. |

Well you can just buy a 2nd hand 2 door car and modify. Fancy enough? You can definitely maintain it at your salary range.

Yup. Buy something fancy second hand. Bad FC? Don't care. Maintenance expensive, takes long time to source parts and repair? Don't care.
Old SLK. Old Porsche. Old Supra, RX7, ... Anything. Buy cash, no need to worry about loan. New cars are for people who need a reliable transport and thus are willing to spend more on it. But since you have got a reasonable A to B car and want something fun for the weekend... if it falls out for a weekend or two who cares. |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Jun 25 2015, 06:57 PM) Gross 7k. Audi A3 1.4 is around 179k only haven't include discounts, installment should be below 2k for 9 years. Minus EPF/Tax, u end up with what? 5.5k? U wanna pay 3k for car installment? Maintenance? etc? Edit: Since TS want something fancy, Audi A3 should fit his bill for a car below 200k This post has been edited by zero5177: Jun 26 2015, 10:13 AM |

QUOTE(zero5177 @ Jun 26 2015, 10:53 AM) Huh... I thought it was very clear.IF you NEED to loan 9 years, it shows you are actually financially NOT capable of buying/maintaining that car. 5 yrs MAX. 3 yrs should be better once you settled down and have a family and is financially stable/have other responsibility. |
