If just at weekend car, that means hardly drive. Just buy any 2 doors convertible No need to take new one, coz you tend to lose a lot. Just get a good condition used car will do. And in most cases their condition is quite good coz most ppl buy convertible as weekend or hobby car, just buy and stare, hardly drive. Like my case I got a first gen SLK where past owner already loss like mad. And it holds up well in value now as it's classified as classic car now. Just buy and drive. When I open the top, even owners of A5 stare over, haha

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jun 28 2015, 10:06 AM) Typo ? It's memang A5 right ? Or should it be written as a5 from your opinion ? Nothing wrong with that car BUT u just over rated it like it's a God car , not the God car ya . Haha...bro, yeah....it is of coz not a god car but with his 21yo and 7k grosss affordability i think this would push his limit.. haha.....maybe he preferrred mustang

No wonder the bankruptcy rate in Malaysia is rising year by year, and majority were due to hire purchase debts with younger generation. Sorry to say that, TS is day-dreaming, and dreaming very high. A typical young generation mentioned above. Basic salary of 2.5k aiming for 400k+ car, wonder what TS is smoking there. Good luck !

I said to myself, if you want to own and drive a 300k car then you must have 3M at least in your account.

With 2.5k salary you only can apply loan up to 100k, my advise is you save one year salary 50k or 100k to pay for the downpayment, get a Mercedes better, the best or nothing, 200-300k should not a big issue. I now 23, thinking to get a property first ~

I booked a 470k house and it needs 2.3k a month for 30 years. OP has 7k a month so that slashed to 4.5k if he bought a Modern Teres/reban ayam condo in kl. Minus another 1k a month on loan for house's accessories/security then he's already labelled kategori miskin bandar.
Anda hanya layak pemotongan 700 sebulan maksimum untuk pinjaman kereta, OP.

Wow!..weekend lessons in personal financial management..Buy and own a house 1st..car can come later on..the best you can afford when there's spare cash to fling around. I advised my son and DIL exactly that..good cars come by very easily, good and ideal homes don't..Meanwhile this old man here awaiting for the LRT in my area to be fully operational!.. QUOTE(ngchuenlow @ Jun 25 2015, 05:37 PM) Hi guys, recently came up with a thought of getting a new car but not sure and dont know which i would be afford. So maybe you guys can give me suggestion here? 21 years old been working around 1 years plus with RM7000++ . Currently staying with my parents and I don't have any debt, loans or giving my parent allowance. Now driving Toyota Vios J. since your income is quite ok, 0 debt, parents support and 21 y.o., get a Benz A200/ A250 sport.
