Hey people. I dont own a N80. But i've been concsidering to get one. I would like to ask about the sound quality of the audio playback on the N80. Does the equiliser make any dramatic changes to the quality of the playback? Do the songs sound any better than the ones played on a N70? And is the slider really that fragile? as in will it lose its sturdiness after long term usage? pls and thx

I do not owned a N70 so i can't give u a direct comparison. But i would like to say that the N80 sounds decent at least. Slider design has movable parts, and movable parts will have their wear n tear sooner or later, it is unavoidable. I feel my N80 sliding stays quite firm after more than 6 months of usage but maybe bcoz i already mod the sliding mechanism (Check post #1 for tips ) If you want something which stays solid over time, suggestion would be u go for candy bar design, which doesn't has any movable parts

Oh. Ic. Well, anyone else using their N80 for music playback? I guess the N80 isnt the most durable models out there. Any other suggestions as a replacement? Wat about the E70?

QUOTE(kelvin9986 @ Dec 5 2006, 02:08 PM) if you like sound and take it as music player why not u go for SE walkman series? confirm nicer den nokia n series Depends.... Even SE walkman series, if u on the mega bass equalizer, the sound will bcome quite harsh, in another word, the bass more than treble. If u disable, the sound is like not equal. For N80, it is equal. Eventhough u on the "bass boaster" equalize, u wont get harsh bass like SE does. Then when u put on ur nice headphone o in ear earphone, the sound is fantastic. Dont trust me? Try 2 bring ur earphone along to a nearest phone shop to try it out.... U will b amaze.

I second that if music is played with earphone attached to N80, it sounds fantastic as i tried it before, even with stock earphone. If u play the music with N80 loud speaker, it is OK but not as nice as it is in the earphone.

QUOTE(mstr583 @ Dec 5 2006, 04:35 PM) N80 battery life is not that great, that's a fact, but i still can live with it. Daily charge is a must i would say if you are a moderate to heavy user. My N80 battery can last around 1 and a half day with average of 50 SMS, some browsing (~15 minutes), and 10 short phone calls (~2 minutes on each phone call). As for the phone restart thing, I personally haven't face any of that since the 1st day I owned the N80 If i were to given a choice again between K800i or N80, i will still choose N80 for its all around performance I think it all goes down to personal preferences, no device is perfect though

if you ask me to choose between k800 and n80, i will surely go for n80.. firstly its more stylish than k800i.. and of course, its symbian os and lastly, k800 got no wifi .. and for those who are asking about sound quality.. my ex-3250 plays better music than w900i and w810i.. already tested with my friend's phone. the n80 plays music quite nice, of course its not as nice as 3250 but i would rate it 5/10. Wan to heard from N80 user... If u do not use the WIFI function of N80, prefer more on camera and symbian OS means ntg to u, then u go for k800I. Coz N80 is famous of it WIFI and symbian. But if u do not need this kind of function then there is no point u r goin on it, rite?
