Hi I am looking for water purifier recommendations

1. landed or condo? Condo
2. how many pax in your household? 1-2 pax
3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? No
4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?) Yes
5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth? ~100 month
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k? Not really
7. do you own external water filter yet? No
8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water? Must have hot/cold, more emphasis on cold water, water needs to be super cold if possible. Not negotiable.

Basically just looking for tabletop water purifier/dispenser for cold water. Doesnt need to be super fancy as long can dispense cold water whenever I need it. Saw a few brands Cuckoo, Coway, SKMagic and LG but not sure which to get yet.

I am interested to know since you brought this up

Any products other than I think Coway proactively show their "Cold" or "Hot" water temperature for their dispenser? I also like my water super cold, but didn't seem to find many dispensers that proactively give their temperature reading (apart from the analog type a few bar of 'coldness')

LG cold water about 7°C, max dispense bout 1L at one-go

Monthly electricity cost bout Rm4 for my tariff bracket (my monthly bill bout Rm100), if ur monthly electricity bill is higher, ur tariff bracket is higher and the electricity cost for ur water purifier will be higher (Maybe RM6~8), but definitely not Rm50

Between diff brands, only pricing and functions diff (yes filters are also diff, but all are safe to direct drink, so no practical diff, except RO which have a diff taste)

1 thing I'm not sure if other brands offer is LG uses SUS304 S/steel for the internal pipings of its machine WD518, WD516, WD210

We're expecting baby soon and some advised to get a water purifier with instant warm water function for convenience.

I'm considering Snaptec, anyone heard of it and if yes, what is your opinion on this?

We live in a condo in Selangor, will this safe enough for baby consumption? Or it's better to boil filtered water (we are currently using 3m ap easy undersink)?

Hi I am looking for water purifier recommendations

1. landed or condo? [condo]
2. how many pax in your household? [1-4]
3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? [no]
4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?) [yes if simple step]
5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth? [looking for budget friendly]
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k? [depends what adv of installment]
7. do you own external water filter yet? [no]
8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water?
[need hot water & normal temp water, no need cold water]

prefer:
- dont need keep refill water
- tabletop
- simple purify and filter good enough - no need too advance/premium

No sure what benefits between tank and tankless.
Currently checking XiaoMi, Coway, Cuckoo, LG.
No sure what else what brand option out there as currently only drink boil water with filtered water.

Thanks

Hi, any feedback on 3M™ Countertop Drinking Water System, CTM-01, 6 Each/Case?

https://www.3m.com.my/3M/en_MY/p/d/v101050075/

Using this to filter drinking water and then boil. No other filter. The 6 eacg/case refers to what?

If you boil you should be ok. You can upgrade to C-complete cartridge. 6 units per case

Yea heard of Snaptec, seems like a small brand started in Msia or Sg, their filters should be good

3M + boiling also works, just a bit inconvenient than having a dispenser with instant hot water

Benefits of tankless purifiers:
1. Fresher water
2. No need technician to wash water tank (hence offer option to DIY service)
3. More energy saving (hot/cold water are not constantly being heated/cooled even when no one is using)

All the big brands u listed are fine, just pick based on price and function of the unit will do (u might want to take note on RO models, RO water taste a bit diff)

Anyone has experience with BACFREE Just Tap? I'm currently using LG Puricare but will be moving to new condo soon and would like to know if there are better alternatives other than LG Puricare.

Can I know how it fairs vs LG Puricare? From what I'm seeing, only the Just Tap Quadro offers hot & cold filtered water.

Seems like it's not tankless, comes with 2.4L tank each for hot and cold water

If their filter got any certification then feels more secured

Bacfree is just a re-seller. It is not their product, they just take it from a manufacturer in China, most of the time with generic filters and who knows what quality of tanks. LG is a much better choice if you need hot/cold. And also LG is significantly cheaper AND tankless. And I am saying that not as LG rep, I don't profit from it

Just want to know. In that xhs, alot of bad review on LG, especially they said services are bad when compare to coway and cuckoo. Repair slow or charge u money even u r in the monthly subscription. They even pointed out some users impacted by the floating or the recently bombing case in putra heights, coway and cuckoo gave free services to exchange a newone, while LG doesnt have any assistance. Is this true? So bad meh?
