Im just using panasonic filter currently  . It's those attached to tap water. directly.
oic, there are too many types with different price ranges . quite hard to determine. if it's too cheap , i concern it's effectiveness .
thanks Nightfelix for the guidance . I would go for outdoor and internal filter than to ensure good quality of water in my house.

1. landed or condo?  landed
2. how many pax in your household? 2-3
3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? no
4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?)  should be ok with guidance
5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth? 50-100
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k?  prefer one off purchase inot more than 2k
7. do you own external water filter yet? no
8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water?[/code]  want to have hot water function .
*
For outdoor filter, if you want super clean water, can go for membrane filter, but membrane filter need to back wash very frequent, suggest at least 2 days one time to avoid clogged (also still need to depend your house water quality, some area really yellow)

for internal filter, LG Puricare for long run cost saving.

Which is recommended between LG Puricare and Bacfree Watero.

Looking for hot water dispenser. Thanks
*
Both are totally different. LG PuriCare is Tankless, direct from tap, water supply is continuous, instant hot water ready in 3 seconds. The best is can auto sterilise with high temperature every weekly.

Bacfree with Tank, need to refill water frequently. Imagine early morning wanna to have a hot drink but the tank is empty. Water dispenser with tank will have a risk of microogranism growth.

2. how many pax in your household? 1-2 (usualy only me alone T.T)
3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? no
4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?) yes, as long there is good instruction
5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth? prefer can directly outright buy, but if no, 150/mth also can
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k? yes below 2k
7. do you own external water filter yet? condo, not allowed
8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water? i dont drink hot water at home, if needed just use kattle..., i do use fridge cold water tho.

recently saw a brand named Azure, which is precisely what i needed, but online search up (after the SA) found nothing to back up their claim. and not much info around

What brand is that? Do you got link?

Hoping someone could give some insight. Thank you very much in advanced.

1. Landed double storey.
2. 2 Adults and 1 Baby
3. No kidney disease or related
4. Yes, replacement filter or easy maintenance should be doable.
5. Prefer 1 time purchase
6. Budget about 1.5k
7. Not Yet. Looking for Internal and External
8. Hot water function is not a must. But it is a plus. I have a Youmi instant water heater that could dispense hot water from a water tank.

Thanks again in advanced guys.
*
The xiaomi/youmi water dispenser, the tank need to be clean frequently to avoid microbe to grow.

If 1.5k just to filter the water, personally feeling not that worth it.

Hi all, looking for new POE and POU water filter for landed house.
Any feedback on the below?
Intact ultra Flow+ (RM1399)
Intact water Q6+ (RM2500)
*
Hi Bro,

For POE, Intact is good enough.

For POU, I suggest you may consider LG PuriCare which is they offer very competitive price now. In term of warranty, support and replacement parts, LG PuriCare is better than what you consider now.

I as user have use LG PuriCare water purifier and air purifier which is help me a lot compare to previous time. Because I'm confident to the product, I'm join as agent and our team is one of the largest group in Malaysia and also LG PuriCare strong in term of support.

I am not an LG agent and I find they are a bit aggressive in this thread pushing a sale, but in this case, do not get this Intact for this price, LG is genuinely a better option, take advantage of their low rentals while it lasts, if you need hot/cold function. Intact slapped a logo on an OEM dispenser. They may have good intentions, but if their supplier (and you do not even know who they are) stops producing these, you will be left with a useless unit. If it was sub 2k, then maybe worth the risk, but for 2500 I wouldn't.
*
Hi boss, always saw your feedback and i believe you are expert in water filtering also. im also wondering about the brand you carry for POE. Mind to share more about it?

What water purifier is good and worth to change to now? My Coway service contract about to finish been using same water filter for close to 10 years already.

How about their after sales service? Service the water filter ownself or got agent help? Hope it is easy if self service.
*
Reason why Coway need agent to service because of using tank to hold the water, if it's not clean always, it is very easy to grow microorganisma inside the tank.

Do consider LG, they using tankless technology and self service is easy as twisting water bottle cap or you can still opt for technician agent service if you want.

Technically only RO or UV or Heat(aka boil) can kill/remove majority of those bacteria/viruses/microorganism in water. But bear in mind, if you have spare tank in your water filter system (in RO technology), they can grow inside too.

Therefore, those UV tech like eSpring or Heat tech (instant) like LG are good at doing this job.
*
Exactly, thats is why also RO machine need on-site technician to clean frequently.

If you not clean it for long time, actually you will feel disgusting if you see the inner tank.

I'm looking to install a water purifier at my new home.  Cabinet and sinks are not done yet.  I'm wondering what I should prepare if I would like to install a water purifier/dispenser.  It seems that LG is frequently mentioned in this thread and it seems that LG Puricare Hot/Cold is suitable for me.
- I'm a little confused about the rental vs purchasing.  I've read that LG Puricare does not require servicing.  What are the advantages of renting vs purchasing?
- What do I need to keep in mind to install LG Puricare - do I need to drill a hole in the counter top?  I'm aware a powerpoint is required for this.  Is it possible to not connect the water purifier to the water faucet?
- Do you know when the current promotion ends?

Thank you in advance, for those who are helping to share their experience or thoughts!
*
Hi there,

Advantages of renting is you have longer warranty and services. Let say you rent for 7 years, then you have 7 years warranty and filter subscription (1 years 2 times LG will send you the filter catridge). LG Puricare doest not required onsite service because they use tankless technology and fully stainless steel piping to enable auto sterilization within the machine. Also because of tankless, the machine is very safe electricity cost.

For outright purchase, you have 1 year of warranty and 2 years of filter catridge subscription.

About installation, assume your water outlet at bottom of counter top, to install nicely, 18mm hole should be drill to look nicely install, installer can install extra joint at bottom so can choose not to connect to your faucet.

Hi mingyew, just want to confirm with you since you seem knowledgeable with LG Puricare.

My agent told me that if I want to have the power cable to go through the hole as well to a power socket below the countertop, 20mm is needed. Is that right?

Can I seal the hole after that with silicone as I will be installing it near the kitchen sink?

Thanks.
*
Actually if u want power socket hide under the countertop and the hole only 20mm, the power cable need to modify.

Seal silicone is alright.

Is LG puricare RM50 or RM60 per month? I saw different prices
*
Hi Bro,

RM50 is without the cold water function, only hot and ambient water.

Rm60 is with cold water function.

Both is 7 years rental include 7 years warranty and 7 years filter cartridge subscription.

App based monitoring is the future, a lot of companies started to do this. But hopefully not turning into disaster such as, locking your model if you didn't pay/rent/replace the filter. Much worst, prevent you from using if you replace from non-authorised filter.
*
If able to lock mean filter need to be chipped. So far dont seen any yet.

Saying it not as a seller, but as a person, I'd rather not have an app. I mean, if it is 100% optional, then whatever, but if I have to install an app for a water filter, coffee machine, ice maker etc etc, I don't want it. A sticker on a fridge or a filter with a change date replaces the whole app pretty much. Of course some people may like it and may want to play with the app. Is it optional, by the way? Can I use the filter and never have to use the app?
*
App for monitoring purpose only. You purpose is taking water only, why need to use the app?

Btw, LG ThinQ app can connect many appliances, including air purifier, washing machine, fridge, etc....

It works well on hot water, just to make sure at least change and clean the tank once a week.

My coffee machine water in the tank have jelly type thingy in the monitor very close if i dont wash it. This the only problem.

I'm now considering Coway kechil - nicest design, mostly tankless, and it's still mineral water. Almost pulling the trigger, unless/until I find something out lol.
*
Bro, fyi, kechil is not tankless.

It has small tank for cold water.
