7D6N Flying to Tokyo. I would say 4 nights in Tokyo, 2 nights in Hakone.

3 of my friends went to Tokyo without knowing about the ICAO / non ICAO on passport thing. They had non ICAO passports and also no visa. Went in no problems no questions asked by immigration officers.

Your mileage may vary of course. Just adding a data point.

Hi Sifus,

Am planning a snowboarding trip to Niseko in Jan next year from 17th to 27th and wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a lodge/accomodation?

I travelled to Hakuba this year and had a good experience staying at Penke Panke Lodge(sister lodge to Asuka lodge), which was recommended when I asked in one of the older thread;
So I was wondering if any regulars to Niseko could recommend their picks for Niseko.

Initially I will be spending the whole trip (9/5-15/5) staying in Osaka, and do a 2 days day trip to Kyoto.
But, after some discussion with friends, they suggested to spend 2 nights in Kyoto.
So, the new plan is:
9/5/2016 arriving Osaka (KIX) at 10:30pm, find a nearby hotel/capsule hotel to rest.
10/5/2016 head to Kyoto and stay 2 nights there
12/5/2016 head back to Osaka and stay with a house booked via Airbnb

anyone had experience capsule hotel in Osaka before?

I'm also one of the victim of this cancellation, so much replanning to do due to the offered flight to Haneda, which only flies once a day, in the afternoon arriving 10 night...
