I want 880 just because i tot it will look nice having them beside my tv. Being 2.0

But having that sub woofer really help. Really improves the sound. Obviously lol

yes I own it, movie and gaming is decent. The sub got deep tight bass just good enough not overkill like those lousy logitech speakers, I think when on sale Lazada only sell RM850+ by edifier themselves. you gonna ask ediflier when they do promotion on lazada. (may be even add voucher to reduce further, although I don't exactly know how lazada coupon work lol)

but if you are really into music, dont bother the S880, just hit S1000 for 2.0. If you want 2.1 take my recomendation S350DB.

check yourself with viewnet. I think they got display both S1000, S350.

although I think viewnet own amp is really shitty, unless you bring your own smartphone test yourselves self via blue tooth connection. Bring your own song also, or spotify whatever suit your or find other quiet shop to test it.

Theres nice rumbling when thunder struck
The voice is pretty clear. Almost above the background music.
And Soundstage pretty nice too
Things that are far away sound softer and lower

I think s350 should suit me well

pretty straightforward into the stereotype of 2.0 vs 2.1


S350DB is very versatile in music to gaming/movies due to the sub bass rumbles from the woofer.
The choice made by edifier to tune it makes vocals superbly clear as midbass is prominent but didn't mud up the subwoofers.
crystal clear trebles that you can crank out loud and still sound good without sounding like needles.

S1000DB is a different beast now. What makes your perspective on the S350DB subs is close to equal on this pair of stereo bookshelves.
In fact I find the S1000DB gives out a deeper sub sounding bass compared to S350DB.
Mids were next level clarity especially when you listen to music as it doesn't need to separate bass to subwoofer so the transition of bass to midbass is smooth as butter. They compliment nicely.

sorry I think my summary is getting long. I'm out of words to describe words as words alone can't express how they work wonders.

strengths
-smaller satellite = cleaner table
-great performing subwoofer

weakness
-maybe subwoofer can be a little punchier in the midranges? It's just what I think where it felt like a small dip there

S1000DB
strengths
-pretty deep sub bass out of bookshelves
-very noticeable clarity
-fast and aggressive tone without sacrificing warmth

weakness
-they're quite big so table space is needed

Hi, morning all, anyone review S70DB? look like it's one of cheaper Hi-Def sound bar with subwoofer, on youtube don't do justice as the reviewer are in russian, hope any malaysian have done some review of it, last time heard 2 Hi-Def sound bar from sony (forgotten the model but it's 2.0 speaker only) the RM2K+ model are really nice and clear, the RM1K+ are inferior after listening to the pricier one (sound like speaker system with equilizer setting are flat), the problem is the content are not Hi-Def content streaming from phone, but man perhaps the sony upscale normal Def to Hi-Def really well on the pricier model.... or perhaps same chip but different speaker set??..

Any how it's kindda expensive for me if the soundbar are without sub-woofer, quite long time not involve in this speaker comparison, but now i think time to change to Hi-Def as upgrade planning to UHD curved TV (primarily for PC hookup as desktop / PS4 Pro / Streaming / TV Series / Movie), so guys I'm looking into this Hi-Def S70DB (2.1), guide me shall u all....

You should give S70DB a try, it will not disappointed you, it is a solid wood soundbar for anyone who wants great sound.
