Back to my original question

I just found out there's actually a gadget called bluetooth audio receiver ( doh.gif yes I know), and I actually have an old 2.1 speaker (Edifier HCS2330)

Now question, are there any bluetooth audio receivers out there worth getting? I might as well use back my old speaker with an adapter. Or I'm just better off plugging it straight into my laptop?
*
you're better off plugging direct.

but If you desire you can use this as I am using one for my car aux in.

I hear close to no delay in this particular usb dongle apart from playing games (which prolly because my phone is old and struggling)
My only gripe is that I can't play 100% volume on this. Has to be 80% or lower if not it will distort

Hi all, need your input. Looking for a 2.0 or 2.1. Used mostly for Spotify and TV Shows/Movies. Budget around +- 200 (can go slightly up if it's a worthwhile upgrade).

For 2.0, I willl recommend you give R1280T a try.

Understand that 2.1s are generally more bassy. But how about the loudness of the sound? Can the R1280T pump out loud music without the sub?

Depend on what you aim. That HK unit is more towards vocal clarity and good tweeters, good for higher frequency. The sub is pathetic to me. You want good bass, look elsewhere please.

what about Bose COMPANION® 20 ? higher price but if it is good I'm fine with it.

I'm using Logitech Z553 and pretty much satisfied with it, but it died recently so thinking to upgrade to a better speakers. Wish you guys could give me an idea to do research or comparison. smile.gif

XM6BT is a 2.1 system so if like bass, i will recommend you give it a try.
R1280T is a 2.0 system suitable for people who like music and clarity.
