Is this price good? Looking for a few inverter 1hp and maybe one 1.5hp
Panasonic and Daikin similar price
*
If you really interested in Samsung ac, try find a friend with EPP. Samsung is having a big sale on AC for EPP until 28th Feb. 1.5hp BYEA (windfree premium plus) is just RM1540. 1hp not recommended since it's RM1500. You can even get 5% welcome bonus if it's a new account.

Honestly if you knew you're going to need ac, why not buy it last year when I shared onking warehouse sale in early November? LG inverter premium 1.0hp baru RM1289, and I even bought a LG 1.5 inverter premium for RM1489. Not to mention LG also offering RM150 tng ontop of it. Now I looked back at the picture, daikin ftv35 baru RM1289.

Actually, my brother-in-law who works for IBM also has access to this sort of deals. Samsung home appliances, price... may not cheaper than sales time. But is cheaper than normal street price.

Sometimes Samsung do unthinkable things.

Where can u find a 5star 1.5hp premium inverter for RM1540 delivered to your front door?

How about 65inch S95B for under 9k?

Any inverter aircon where the app I can easily adjust the fan speed or temperature to change to certain value after x number of hours or at a certain time?

Also, power consumption reading in the app would be very useful also
*
I believed their software not so advanced. I used Samsung and LG, both only had timer and schedule. LG had sleep timer though which would increase temp slowly but nowhere near
what you want.

Normally if you want the fan to slow when cool is by using auto.

Only 2 mode on Panasonic remote - 3 modes - Auto, Cool, Dry

Previously remote said 28 degrees.
After I cleaned the AC I set to Dry 22. Then I set back to Cool 28 degrees. Was very hot.
But when I checked today 28 was hot. But I heard last time the AC would go down to 25/26 so maybe the remote said 28 but actually the AC was set at 24/25.
24/25 seems OK. 24 is cooler air than 25. I don't know why.
*
28deg also cold? Most likely temp sensor isnt working. I also change my ac recently. My old Samsung 1hp inverter would be too cool even at 27C. I also noticed it is using too much power compared to my son newer Samsung 1hp windfree but feeling much colder than my son room which I had set at 26C. Now I changed to a new LG 1hp inverter and indeed 26C felt comfortable, unlike the old Samsung which felt like freezer.

Thank you for replying.

My only guess is that when we changed the remote control temperature, it didn't trigger in the Panasonic AC. So whatever temperature that it was set to previously, probably about 23 to 24 degrees, it never changed to 28 degrees. So we thought at 28 degrees, it was saving electricity but actually it was still at 23-24 degrees.
*
How do you turn it on? Using wifi? Surely the temp would have registered when you turn it on using remote. Unless your using WiFi to turn it on.

Just checking, your aircond got noise or not?
My one quite loud...  not sure why, maybe because of long piping

Should I call back the install guy agaain?
*
Really?
Actually my brother also had the same problem but with XU 2.0hp. It doesn't happened all the time right? And when you hold the panel it will stop rattling?

My brother did complain to panasonic and they sent a technician over. At first he blamed the installer for installing the outdoor unit very near to the indoor unit which caused the rattling. Then my brother say if you say like that, you arranged an installer over and if it still rattle, I won't pay. Then only he shut up. Anyhow, my brother managed to pressure him into claiming a new panel (plastic part, just not sure which piece of whole piece, need to double confirm) but it still rattle. Then the fella claimed his house wall not even which caused the rattling. I try and see if I can find the video he sent me.

my ac is making so much fking noise every 5min and I dont know what to do with this crap
its a Panasonic cs-xpu10wkh
bought and installed same day same seller for 2 units in my house and only the one in my room is making so much fking noise
like I dont even know how to describe it but its a very aggressive buzzing and vibrating noise
when I try to hear if its outside or inside unit I can't determine
but if I go to my adjacent room and open the window I can hear the loud buzzing sound so im inclined to believe its the outside unit
before replacing this inverter unit my old AC damn quiet. can hear cockroach running in the room if got cockroach
this unit is driving me off the ledge
is there any good ac repair man around usj that ya'll recommend that won't upsell me or scam my money?
or is my other option to call Panasonic and ask for assistance there?
unit bought maybe more than 1 year ago
*
It seems like vibrations is now quite common with Panasonic. Read the few posts above and you'll find out you're not alone.

My brother XU 2hp also had vibration and had his internal unit casing changed. It didn't totally eliminate the vibration, just reduced.

I used to buy cloth like aircond filter from Daiso so that the dirts don't stick to the aircond fins easily but lately couldn't find any stock in Daiso anymore.

Is such item sold anywhere else apart from Daiso?
*
I used to buy them too for the old York ac which has its nets decaying and broken into pieces every time I took it out for cleaning. They were out of stock for really long time during mco time but I was able to buy them a year or two ago. I think I still had some of them left.

I'm here to rant about Mitsubishi non inverter. Bought 3 units of Mitsubishi MS-JR10VF 1HP and 1 unit Mitsubishi MS-JR13VF 1.5HP from Homepro Damansara. Is it just me or the air-conditioning doesn't know how to cool? Gas leak until fully empty. Complained to Mitsubishi, technician came to check and said no problem with aircond, ask me to check installation issue with the installer. Called installer to come check copper wiring and etc, they said no leakage and refilled the gas, aircond starts cooling again for 3 weeks, and now again it's not cooling anymore.

I can't bare with this kind of recurring problems man. Will call Mitsubishi and complain again tomorrow.

I always turn on cooling mode with max fan speed and 16 degrees. Am I using it wrongly? Trying 22 degrees now it is still not cooling.
*
Nothing wrong with your usage. Are you sure they refilled gas? Refilling gas meant there must be a leakage somewhere in the system. Ask them to do a pressure check.

Hi guys. Any idea how to link the cassette aircond into Home Assistant and HomeKit? My cassette aircond is Acson brand, and non Wi-Fi version. If use those IR control, it will send signal to turn on and off aircond, but can’t know the status.
*
I thought cassette air cond remember the last setting for on off. Like my workplace, the daikin and york only needs to turn on main switch, no need use IR to on off ac. Even when turning off, just turn off via main switch. So if you replace the main switch with a smart switch with higher ampere, I think you'll just turn on the smart switch to turn on ac and vice versa.

Hi guys, i have been using my Panasonic aircond for the past 10 years. I used to service it (detailed service where the guys will dismantle the indoor unit & cleaned it properly) once a year.

Recently for the past 2 years, it keeps on leaking near the blower. N the problem is solved every time i serviced it. But it only last for like 4-5mths before it leaks again.

The aircond man said its bcoz my aircond is too dirty n requires frequent service.

Any advise on this?
*
I saw in lazada nowadays got 2 types of item that can solve this.

1 is the small pump attach to drain pipe. Another is the tablet which claimed to help dried the water.

Yes, I think the power consumption lesser than those non inverter 1.5hp, I frequent see those consuming about 5-6A.

Also the current draw will slowly reducing after cooling down the space. Mine was living room so not obvious..

Buy LG premium inverter la... can self activate inverter.

"can self activate inverter"
Not understand what is that mean? I can self adjust the current draw? Usually inverter aircond current draw varies based on your set temperature, blower fan speed, fast cooling etc. LG got additional activation?
*
Not so complex la.

LG has a button on the remote whereby you can limit the cooling capacity of the AC by limiting the power draw. It has 4 settings, 100%, 80%, 60% and 40%. Hence you can turn your 1.5HP into a 0.6HP AC when you manually set it at 40%.

Hi, is anyone having good review on LG dual inverter Premium aircond?
*
What do you want to know? The only advantages it (JA2) has over the normal inverter (JA3) is that you can set it to run at power saving mode aka inverter manually and WiFi connectivity.

Bear in mind, LG premium inverter is rated 4 stars instead of 5. I only learned about it after receiving the product. Hence power usage will be slightly higher than 5 stars rated inverter.

Wanted to know the realibility and the cooling perfomance compare to other brands like daikin or panasonic.

Coz got contractor told me dont take LG. bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif ... better choose other brands.

I need 1 unit of 1.5hp for master room, 1 unit either i 2.0hp or 2.5hp for living room.
*
Cant answer you since I bought a 1hp and 1.5hp last year.

I think many installers wont touch Samsung/LG because of the pricing. It is impossible to get good pricing unless you get them during sale or warehouse sale. Got my 1hp around RM1599 on 11.11 from desa home on lazada and 1.5hp from Onking warehouse sale for RM1489. Get RM150 TNG on top of that.

Any other AC that using dual inverter like LG?Dual inverter seems like cooling faster and less power consumption.

Are you prepare to pay the premium? LG A/C is kinda expensive though. I'm using 1HP LG Dual Inverter Premium in my room and I installed a 1.5HP of the same unit in my living room which I seldom use.

1 thing you need to realize is that LG Dual Inverter is not even rated 5 stars. Therefore your less power consumption is flawed already. I didnt even noticed that when I was buying. I just assumed the high end model are 5 stars. For comparison, I had installed a Samsung 1HP Windfree Premium (2021) in my son room and this unit is rated 5 stars.

APP
Samsung
- independent on and off scheduling
- power usage monitoring

LG
- on/off is tied together in a scheduling, cant set on time only without off time.
- can view live power draw, set power draw (like triggering inverter manually), power monitoring

Actual Usage
Samsung
- has a steel grill in front of blower which tend to attract dust. Also will rust after few years.
- blower tend to clog quite often. Even if you had a air compressor to blow, the steel grill gets in the way. Unless like me, you are willing to cut off the grill and risk warranty void.
- temp sensor a bit sensitive. Followed the guide to set temp at 26C but more often than not, it does not feels cool at all but power usage will be low, like less than 2kW (9pm-5am). Set at 25C feels more like it.
- windfree is pretty useful if you dont like aircond blowing at you, and can sleep without blanket at 25/26C.

LG
- stronger blower and dont clog easily like Samsung
- power usage is kinda high (3-4kW) at 26C but my room (12x14) vs my son room (12x10). However, at 26C, it felt like Samsung at 25C.
- outdoor unit slightly noisier than samsung.
