Some people said Daikin not good.
Always leaking water and not functioning after installation.
*
LOL anyway the important thing must be find a good installer, not related to daikin or york Aircon all the same, my sister in law house with my wife kampung all used York n daikin after 3 yrs still running fine and no water leaking and issue, usually how to prevent choke

Try to hardworking interval 3 mths a once wash the pre-filters for often.

Usually dust mix with water can be cause on jelly and chocking on PVC pipe else

Why York or daikin can be more often dripping water?
Cause more cooling and related to user switch to higher fan speed and the dripping water from cooling may runing faster than low fan speed

Ha damn crazy one, after you watch the Japanese dismantle whole unit for chemical wash may thinking again.

The design was nice but too much parts for only indoor fan coil unit

Yeah,
It has all these:-
1. Made in Japan
2. R32 gas
3. 2 way air intake
4. Kill H1N1 virus
5. 5 layer cooling code
*
I knew, real time auto cleaning dust right, but after maintenance would be over killing.

Should engage Daikin ppl for serving only

Last month only, in 2 days they delivered RM1.6mil worth of VRV4 outdoor units to my project. How hard to meet their target?
After last financial year, they send us 5 units of Non inverter for free. I think with 3nos. 1hp and 2nos 1.5hp.
Are you Daikin dealer?
*
So funny loh, I just said said only, cause where got free one, then you mention it on the posted

QUOTE(earl-ku @ Jan 19 2016, 12:30 PM)
I have an issue with my aircon and hopefully someone can suggest me whats my next course of action

I bought 3 units of ac(panasonic) of inverter unit, and got my contractor to install it, didnt use the installer from the electrical shop

now that i have moved in, and i realised my master bedroom unit is not cold, turned it on to 20 degrees and its sort of ambient temperature air but it does get a little colder towards the morning

my previous old york unit, i turned it on at 24 also cold edy, but this panasonic 20 degrees is like nothing.

so i called the contractor who did the install and said i need them to come and check, he says ok, can come check but if found no issue, he will charge me

i should get them check before i go back to the electrical shops rite, he should have warranty on his work? but then part where he says he will charge is no issue found

Should i get him to check or engage another installer?

and tested my other 2 units, in hall 1.5hp is cold and another in room 1.0hp is also cold

this contractor like saying its not his fault and not my issue after its installed

Gas leak, due to lack workmanship, just need to check those copper pipe connection as well with refill gas will do

browsed through V3 and cannot find the answer. hope sifus here can help and sorry if this has been asked before:

existing: 10-year-old Panasonic 2.0HP inverter aircon (should be R22)

replacement: looking at Panasonic PV9RKH or PC9QKH (1.0HP standard, non-inverter)

questions: (1) if i get the R410A unit, can I use the existing piping or need new piping? (2) cost of installation/service/refill gas for R410A vs R22 - izit any significant price difference (location in PG)?

many thanks
*
1.5hp n above don't waste your time to reused an existing copper pipe, the worst case was gas leak anytime

A serviceman told us inverter usually not cold as non inverter, is this true?  I am considering a new 2 hp non-inverter aircond to replace my old 1.5 hp  inverter aircond.
*
If the salesman told me it, on the spot I kick him
Back.

Cause all my inverter Aircon dosnt issue.
Just the gas pressure had more important than what the salesman said

same model ...

i have 7 total units

inverter 1.0hp 2 units
normal deluxe 1.5hp 2 units
and normal 1hp deluxe units

i am comparing the inverter unit in the master room with the 1.5hp in the hall
*
Inverter unit should have the correct gas pressure, otherwise won't get the room cold down as fast, cause usually installer would never bother to check gas pressure.

From factory pre-gas would be enought, but not apply to all type condition of copper pipes.

Also depend you pay for it

Recently I notice when I start my aircon (Sharp brand inverter) there some funny smell came from aircon. But after few second(when compressor start to kick in) the smell is gone and no further smell I smell  sweat.gif
Does anyone experience this especially using sharp?
*
Smell not related the brand name, if you got staircase or height enough, then slightly open on air blade until can see internal fan blower, follow by used touch light pointing in, would be notice the thicken dusty on blower.

So you might hire someone for cleaning already smile.gif

Actually all the Aircons was the same, cause is the electronic parts are running all the time, if compare from CRT-TV? higher energy vs LED-TV today all cost down and energy saving too.

R22 - is a died end products nothing have fun too, if you are the heavy usage for whole day long or office used they knew how much bill per monthly, from the maintenance wise all are same.

IF from R22 daily use more than 8 hrs x 3 rooms at least the cost running on high side.

For me i've was took all inverter Airconds since 8 yrs back till today never repair once of PCB faulty before, the model of ME - GE24VA still running today in markets now, just changed for model only.

Anything just depend on luck right..

IF wanna choose on non-inverter just said no.. cause has one day for gas R22 will be running in shortage.

I always off the main switch when not using the aircond. Now my PCB spoilt in last year and this year, could it cause by too much on/off main switch and the so called hit by high wattage ?  mega_shok.gif
*
Kiasu... Don't do that, too common for s'pore oldman do the same thing, cause they worry to pay for standby current.

End out to be replaced new PCB the cost has much higher than saving a little bit only
