thanks i already called, funny thing is the aircond seller told me daikin is out of stock while panasonic got a lot

One thing I want to confirm is

the seller said daikin do not have extended warranty where if u buy daikin ac, u will get 1 year warranty dan 5 years compressor warranrty (bear in mind not included the sub component in compressor such as capacitor and etc)

but for panasonic will get extended warranty for 4 years for around RM250.00 (that why many installer never propose pana model)

Is it true

the seller said although daikin is from japan but the production is in Malaysia

now thinking to switch back to panasonic xdeluxe

Any advise? ceo684

24-26 Celsius to reduce power consumption.

16 Celsius making the compressor work harder.
More breakdown if using 16 Celsius.

If i set 24- 26 Celsius, how long i need to wait the room will become cold, around 30 minutes? ceo684

Open the front cover remove filters to washs with tap water.
Check the fan blower got stuck with heavy mould or just minor only.
If very minimum mould on fan blower can do normal services will work.
Chemical service, except the airflow got noise something stucked.
Overhaul service with chemicals are the same, must be remove the whole fan coil and do washing on floor.

Is it true if using chemical service depend on aircond condition and age? if the aircond is new better use normal wash?

Chemical wash, when you are close to fan coil blower, notice one side got air, another side no air.
Mean that , coil fins has been blocked by dirt and moulded.
Normal service just remove the mould on fan blower only.
About the coil fully functioning, nothing blocking at all
*
What you mean is if chemical wash due to either one of the side no air but for normal service is just remove the mould on fan blower only j

just confuse

which scenario need to do normal wash ? and which scenario need to do chemical wash if the method normal wash cannot be used?

Normal serving , remove the fan blower then wash or spray water on coil fins is optional.

Chemical have to move whole fan coin unit down. But the detergent very strong can remove the coin fins coating.
Become much more easy to sticky on mould and dirt.
If not necessary go for normal service will work.

Outdoor is depends on the environment.
Let say, the condensation got cover. After 3-5 years check on the coin fins is this fully block by the dust?
Without cover is direct on sun, rain water mostly can help to clean on condenser coin fins.
Even after 10 years still look new.
If too dirty, can use chemical to wash or use water pressures to spray on it.

How about the list of service price i show above ? is it reasonable compare to the first one i give yesterday?

QUOTE(Momo33 @ Feb 28 2024, 12:29 PM)
depends on the chemical used .
chemicals  can say have 2 types  . there are other type so need to read the  labels.
1  alkaline  .    this one need mix with water and spray on ,  and later need  water wash off.    Strong !
2.  pH neutral ,  most come in can sprays ,  spray on and  turn on AC  to wash off.  example WD 40 AC cleaner.
chemical wash can anytime  be done  when  fins are  getting clog  after inspection . service time depends on your usage time.

normal  wash with water /  is not that effective  .  the dust /grime  still  stick on the fins.

if your fan air  is weak  or uneven .  you need to check  fins  clog  and  fan blower  blades / covered with layer grime.

"But the detergent very strong can remove the coin fins coating".

I already text to ak irfan enterprise and he said if wrong chemical mix or too thick or take longer time then only rinse will make the coin fins coating remove but he said after he spray the chemical, he will immediately rinse it off
