Yeah tbh just go for inverter if you have the money. I know many say that inverter parts are more expensive when it breaks down. But I have been using it for 3 years without any issue.

Inverter aircond is definitely more 'sleep' friendly as compared to non-inverter ones.

I went with Panasonic. Been serving me great so far for 3 years.

Been told for KL area shops mostly no more. Think they have certain quota allocated to each store.

It really depends on your layout. For example my living room I installed a 2.0HP. When I did my analysis on paper it would be more than enough to cool down the living room + dining room. But in reality, my dining room can get a little stuffy even though I have turned on my aircond due to the orientation of the aircond, which is not facing the direction of my dining room.

Either one should be fine. I have been using Panasonic for more than 3 years now so far no issues.

Yes I did deep cleaning once a year. They took out everything and did a thorough cleaning. Aircond felt a lot cooler after the service.
