Guys I am planning to get a 1.0hp non-inverter aircond from Lazada. However there are too many brands available and I don't know which one is better in terms of quality. Can someone advise?

Also can someone recommend a good aircond installer as I believe the units purchased via Lazada does not include installation.

Thank you in advance.

For a office usage...2hp...Installer recommend Acson or Daikin non inverter, he said both same factory and Acson is cheaper by rm100. But he do not recommend using inverter said the pcb very easy spoilt...Im looking for inverter because daily about 12 hours usage....

If for long usage probably go for inverter would be better. Just get a brand that has plenty of parts like Daikin or Panasonic.

Hi, this is my first time buying aircon. I got in mind either Panasonic / Daikin. However still torn between inverter or non inverter. Based on below situation, can anyone advise which should i get?

1. Bedroom 1.0 HP - Small bedroom around 110sqf. Expected to turn on more than 5 hours everyday.
2. Living room 2.0HP - Expected to seldom turn on.

You can get inverter one for the bedroom I think.

How is Sharp's aircond quality?

Seems like the majority here prefers either Panasonic or Daikin.

Check the position of the nearest wall blocking the fan blades (from fan hook) before buying.
Standard 140cm fan for all. Living room one maybe can fit 150cm depends on position of ur fan hook. Some developer clever to put it very close to the wall  bangwall.gif And always go for the KDK, don't get the Bayoo series, confirm regret  devil.gif

Is there a difference between the fan that use remote control and regulator to control the speed?

Is it not recommended to go for the panasonic x deluxe 1.5hp version. I remember I read some comments before advising against going for this, and recommended 2.0hp instead, is there any truth to this?

My living room is 11.55m^2, and it's connected to my dining room which is 19.32m^2 in size. Do you think 1.5hp would suffice? My aircond will be at the living room.

I have no good exp for Pana 1.5hp and so is another friend. Not sure why. 1hp and 2hp ok.

Within 1 year ... changed capacitor twice, coil leaking, compressor replaced.

3rd year .. compressor ko. RM850 to replace all in. Rejected. Ask insider help to change to 1hp compressor ... RM400.  Now ok.
When dining and living are open concept ... buy a 2hp.

Thanks for the advise. Will consider getting the 2.0hp aircond then.

Hi can you guys give recommendation on 1.0Hp aircond?
Is non inverter good enough for 1.0 hp? i used 1.5hp inverter panasonic in another room.
This 1 hp aircond is for a very small room.
*
If you don't foresee turning on the aircond too often, non-inverter is good.

For bedroom that will have consistent usage every night, better go for inverter.

For cheap inverter do check out the previous 9700btu model R32 inverter 1hp from Sharp.
The one with AEC 789 kwh.

The 2020 one 9k btu only.
*
Can we mix the brands of aircond in a condo unit? Will there is any issue if we do so? Say Panasonic and Sharp brand aircond.

Hello can anyone recommend me a cheap no frills air cond 1.0hp? For guest room, rarely open so electric consumption is no big deal.

Not sure what you meant by cheap though. For me I got the Panasonic non-inverter aircond for 900 during sales period for my guest room

I plan to have 1.5HP Inverter for my living room.
I have shortlisted to Panasonic, Sharp and Mitsubishi Electric.
Need advice and recommendation which to go for.
It would be a plus if it can help purify the air in the living room.
*
I would go for Panasonic for reliability. biggrin.gif

Does anyone know how to we turn a Panasonic Aircond to a smart Aircond? I understand that it is not built in and would require additional device. Can anyone share some experience on this?

My new kondo have a 1HP aircon in living room and 1HP aircon in dining room.

I am doing renovation, want to change new aircon. Is it wise to just place one 2HP aircon in living room and cancel the dining room aircon (living room & dining room is together)

Thanks
*
No. It is still advisable to get two separate airconds.

I would still prefer to have the same brand of aircond in my house. When it comes to maintenance it will be easier.
