got my basic non inverter panasonic model for 699 in lazada

Its an excuse. The aircond is >5 years old.

Btw, is mitsubishi brand good? Better than Daikin?

Any Japanese aircon is good.

I just install a Mitsubishi inverter aircon. Cost RM1600 for 1hp include installation.

Reason,
1) very quiet
2) easy clean. No others aircon have it.

The design look like normal (boring design compare to my another 1.5hp Panasonic) and big size for a 1hp.

Forget. It is only 1 model that have inverter on 1.5HP.

That is 8yrs ago.

Daikin vs Panasonic inverter... any forummers have experience in both units?

i went to TBM  for aircond today, was told that current daikin r410a model is discontinued, he even shown me in their system also, hightlighted "discontinued"

new model coming out soon (don't know when).. he say most likely will use r32 gas

Posting for future knowledge sharing. 

I've bought this model and been using for a week.
It does its job of cooling my 3m by 3m room. Insulate the exhaust hose by wrapping towel around it.
Take note . It is a single hose exhaust system, hence will create negative pressure in the room. This reduces it's efficiency a bit. 
Possible DIY improvement method but ill save that for later date.
Recommended if you are looking for an AC and permanent fixture is not an option.  I do not know whether it will cool it's claimed room size of 350sqft or not.

It is Mitsubishi Electric. MHI don't have easy clean model.

For saving it is 5star with 1489Kwh/yrs. 0.9@0.218.

Easy clean and saving is important.

Other than that is not important as I don't get enjoy this aircon.   It is for my guess room.

The design is important to me. Design reflect the overall room look. I don't like boring old design.
