Calculate a room size btu will determine what aircon size is suitable.

wanna ask if my living room and dining room is open (but will use a rack divider to seperate)  so living room is 14ftx22ft is 2.5 hp enough? or do i need to go with 3?  also should i use inverter or non inverter? most probably will used 8 hr only in weekend

14 x 22 x 10 (with non-full height rack divider  so probably will have air go to dining area)

Hi, guys. I just own the carrier aircon (1hp non inverter) last month. Recently, my parent said that the aircon are not cold as it does. They said that although set to 19c, but sometimes the compressor didn't spinning and inactive for long period.

Do I need to call carrier for checking? Thanks

Just some info for all, I recently doing major renovation for my house and was going around to look for air-cond.
Decided to purchase Daikin non-inverter normal gas and found good price from shop at Ara Damansara. My list of aircond as below:-

Living hall/Dining
- 2HP cassette x 2 units

Master room 1
-Wall 2HP

Master room 2
-Wall 2HP

Guest rooms
-Wall 1HP x 2 units

Karaoke room
-Wall 2HP

I've searched around and this shop at Ara Damansara offer cheapest aircond unit price but the working fee is average.
Grand total is still the cheapest and my total is approx. RM14k.

Anyone know where to get good price Panasonic aircond ? How much do they charge for installation nowadays ?

Don't go for it, is lousy. My brother-in-law used 2 of it, 1 went for warranty after 2 months usage due to excessive noise, another one noisier as well. The aircond is cheaper but won't save you a thousand. Simply choose any branded non inverter is better than this.

they will arrange technician come, sometime the aircond have less gas only.... thats why not so cold...

i do have a quick question, the new ac units come pre-filled with gas rite

A serviceman told us inverter usually not cold as non inverter, is this true?  I am considering a new 2 hp non-inverter aircond to replace my old 1.5 hp  inverter aircond.

because its still cold ... i am using it at 18 degrees

if leaking means it wont be cold at all rite ... so maybe not enough gas?
