Sorry. I never use Mitsubishi before. But from what I heard, it is one of the most expensive products for aircond.

Daikin is safer (not necessarily better) choice in term of after sales service and parts.
*
Mitsubishi is expensive since it have easyclean on selected models.

I'm using Panasonic all non-inverter for new house.

4 x 1.5hp split unit
1 x 2.5hp cassette type

No budget after reno. Do I lost my mind?

What are the pros and cons of ceiling aircon vs wall-split aircon?
*
For ceiling air conditioner, maintenance will be difficult. You can't wash the air conditioner filter.
No On Off switch for ceiling as it directly connected to the main circuit breaker.
More cooling. If it is malfunction, service will be expensive.
Electricity still flowing through when the A/C is switched off
If remote control faulty or misplaced, there will be one common problem

Wall split air conditioner can wash and clean the indoor unit outside.
Save electricity. Can switch off while remote control is mispaced or faulty via A/C switch.

Okay people I am currently thinking of buying a 1.5hp inverter aircon with all those air cleaning features for my kids' room.
So quick question, does the air cleaning features works? Currently I have a an inverter Panasonic+all those features in our home but I don't see any difference.
Ok now I have surveyed few aircons online which is Panasonic Econavi,Samsung Triangle and Sharp Jtech. Which of them are good in terms of cooling, quietness, service and reliability? Or should I get a ME? I just installed ME aircon in my office and they work well
Has Samsung improved their quality? I heard Samsung is problematic and I have seen few videos on Youtube about clicking sound on the Triangle model.
*
Samsung Triangle is noisy and not durable.

Sharp JTech is a bit expensive.

Panasonic ECONAVI can save 65% electricity with ECONAVI switched on.

We are using Panasonic CS-S10RKH. New model in market now is CS-S10SKH.

Mitsubishi Electric spare parts and A/C are the most of all expensive air conditioner products.

What cleaning features is it that you mentioned? You mean Nanoe-G?

Nanoe-G is the function that Panasonic have is to purify the air kills 99.9 bacteria and germs.

Sharp have plasmacluster that also purify the air and kill 99.9% of bacteria and germs. (Selected models only). One customer got cheat by them that the paper shown got plasmacluster but when found out after installed. No plasmacluster is there.

For Samsung, I don't suggest you use it. Some people will complaint that Samsung A/C is noisy.

Samsung type is Virus Doctor, only higher end model have. (Selected models only)

after further research I realized that the Samsung model I was looking at don't have Virus Doctor feature.
Yeah the Nanoe-G thingy,my current aircon have that feature. I am not really satisfied with the time taken to cool down the room but my monthly bill is so low  but it's okay because I don't like freezing room thumbup.gif
So now Sharp vs Panasonic. Any Sharp owners can give me some feedback? I've only owned York,Panasonic,Hitachi and ME so I have no idea about other brands
*
For sharp. Choose higher end model. Low end doesn't have plasmacluster.

Are all inverter took time to cool down the room?
What function/spec should i look for if I want fast cooling aircond?
*
Inverter model take time to cool down.

You need to get air conditioner with turbo or powerful.

York, Daikin, Acson have turbo. (selected models only)

Mitsubishi A/C have powerful cooling as which my school is using it.

Last time got one dealer told me Sharp air-conditioners are OEM by a China make. Sharp does not have expertise in air-conditioners. Not sure true or not. He also said MH is noisier than ME but I find it the other way round.

How can sharp is OEM?

Hi all the sifus.

Looking to install a 2HP aircond in my living area of 22ftx25ft (open area living and dining).

I already have a 1HP at dining area. Is 2HP enough? The panasonic calculator suggests 3HP

Any particular models to recommend? I have my eyes on these models:
Non Inverter
1. SHARP 2HP AHA18SED RM1850
2. SAMSUNG 2.5HP AR24JRFST RM2150
3. PANASONIC 2HP CS-PV18RKH RM2250

Inverter
1.Samsung Inverter 2HP AR18JVFSBW RM2180

I've never used sharp/samsung/panasonic. Only experience with Mitsubishi and York. I love York coldness in my old house.

The prices I quote are aircond only, without installation.

For those inclusive installation:
1. YORK 2.0 YWM20L RM2200
2. PANASONIC 2.0 CS-PC18QKH RM2200
3. PANASONIC 2.0 KC18QKH RM2400

Are this 3 airconds older models? QKH vs RKH vs SKH any much difference?

Sifus, please enlighten. Thanks all for your input
*
For your enquiry, Panasonic will be your choice.

Panasonic QKH model discontinued. New model is SKH and RKH. RKH model is only for Panasonic non-inverter with ECONAVI.

Standard non-inverter and Premium Inverter series is SKH.

I buy sony tv from lazada but anything I just bring back sony sc , for ac is different?
*
For your experience. Warranty will be the problem.

If you call Daikin they will charge you. Daikin CS is different depends on which customer using that warranty is still valid or not valid.

Any sifu knows what is the cause of the leakage?

When did you install this air conditioner?

It might be due to following reason below
1. Pipe blocked
2. Filter dirty.
3. Not enough refrigerant
