you can reach the roller part easily to wipe/remove the dirt better compared with other brand.
Which other brand you are aware having the easy cleaning function?
*
Hisense, Midea, Haier. Their specs did mention about having auto clean/self clean function.

Shopee have

Wait til you see their delivery charges, assuming if you stay in some area further from town.

Would be equally to Midea or hisense.
Midea and hisense selling Rm800 for non inverter to compare with AUX selling Rm800 ++ is offer for inverter.
Should try new , since the price range is about there and 3 of them under china

Can show you show the video to proof that it is auto up when power on the aircon.
I used Mitsubishi electric starmex never got such issue.
*
When many people already encounter the same, what else to show. Your model 15 years may not be the same tech as the new model now.

Even I as a third party reader also can see the issue here

They are complaining about a feature that Mitsubishi implemented. Its annoying hence an issue. Its in the owners manual. What is so hard to understand? Your aircond might not have the same feature / issue since its an older model, and the new one is not even sold in Msia

Mitsubishi pay you money for promoting their aircond or every aircond they sell?
*
True bro, Even reading about it over and over from voscar and I'm not a Mitsubishi user, I already can understand the issue.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Mar 4 2024, 02:44 PM)
Seriously issue.
*
Finally, it took so many posts of the same thing for you to get it. Come to Malaysia, buy 1 unit of Mitsubishi Mr Slim and get real experience of it.

It's only a few hundred SGD for you. 1 month salary in SG can surely buy a few unit already.
But wait, reading this forum actually we can understand the problem, no need review.

Copper pipe should be fine since my non inverter is already R32

Now I can understand why so many people still stick with non inverter especially in high rise. The operation to remove piping and wiring is complicated for high rises and many dont see the worth of it. Many of them are concealed and involves hacking the walls or ceiling
*
If copper pipe ok some people just install as usual without the earth wire. Definitely not ok, but some just ignore it.

I realised in KL macam very hard to find Midea aircond in physical shop
*
Try find in Shopee and chat with seller to find their shop. KL still ok even using shopee delivery, if other place then the delivery charge is not worth.

Yes, around 7-8 hours per day i think, not sure about temp.
Did not know 2 hp eats up that much power

Guess most of the bills i have been comparing are using 1.0 hp, thats y it looks so cheap compared to what she is paying.

She initially thought the sensor got problem, becoz she felt the aircon did not off automatically once the temperature in the room has reached the desired level.

I wonder is it possible to swap the aircon units without swapping the compressor? Or the whole set must be changed?
There is another 1.0 aircon in the same unit but not being used in another room.
*
As a start, service the 2hp unit. get the technician to check for any wear and tear. It also depend how the aircond is use, if set to lower temp most of the time then you cannot expect cheap electric bill.
And no, you cannot mix and match the aircond units unless it is from the same model and same hp.

Dear all, for my hall - I am considering between a non- inverter or inverter 2hp air cond. Since my living room is 40ft x 22ft rectangle design with dining area, I assume having an inverter air cond is not more beneficial than non-inverter as its unlikely to achieve the set temperature due to the open concept of living room.
*
For open concept room/living room, you can just go for non inverter.

you do this way before?

I worried they will not install cause only charge onstall fees or charge expensive fees
*
Any aircond installer will install, regardless where you buy. Installation fee is not the primary concern, proper installation is.

QUOTE(Jason @ Jun 25 2024, 11:50 AM)
I think these days maybe not, Panasonic prices are nuts. My concern around ME is that they don't sell as many units versus Panasonic, Acson/Daikin which worries me if they have sufficient spare parts, and worse, if they exit the market in Malaysia due to stiff competition from China.

I have one ME JR in guest room downstairs, seldom used. But a/c is better than Pansonic in terms of max cooling from the moment you turn it on. Versus Hisense right outside the room in the hall, the cooling is comparable. But Hisense compressor is noisier for sure which is not an issue if it is far away.

Chose ME because it is a back to back installation for the compressor, and since it is a room, decided to try ME as the spec sheet looks good. True enough the compressor is relatively quieter than Hisense.

Still Hisense basic entry model is the unbeatable king in terms of value if compressor noise not an issue. I am however curious about ME spare parts in MY. I was able to source spare parts for my York air con manufactured in 2009 from Acson, which goes to show the support is unbelievable.

For long term applications, or daily use like bedroom, may be worthwhile to get Acson / Daikin over Hisense, especially if getting inverter which I highly recommend for bedrooms. Halls where the cool air will travel out and the air con will be working on full tilt, I don't feel the need for inverter to regulate temperature.

I used to be a Panasonic air con supporter but their price keep increasing, and adding all the useless features and the initial cooling is terrible as the air con wants to save electricity.. I see no reason for it. But Panasonic compressor also relatively quiet lah..

Enclosed room, esp. bedroom, get inverter: Acson / Daikin
Open hall, air escape, no need inverter, get the cheapest entry level Hisense
For office, business... Acson / Daikin non-inverter.. due to crazy spare part support for long term

And more importantly learn how to use dry mode, on/off timer on the air con.
*
I personally would add Midea to the list.

Any effect if direct turn off power socket without first switch off with remote control? Notice they do that in the office as lazy to go turn off every single aircond.

If its an inverter better to turn off the IDU and wait 2 minutes before switching off the main supply, that will turn off the ODU. This ensure power is not cut off abruptly
*
Noted. So this only applies to inverter AC?

Daikin and Acson are the best AC brands so far in my opinion.

My real world experience from working in a data centre environment. They have a mix of airconds from Daikin and Acson which are running 24 / 7 for 365 days non stop alternating between Unit A and B each day.
*
You are talking about older model of Daikin or newer model?

I won’t give consent to pasang in the first place
Bawa bincang mah, he cabut cost him labor as well.

PM Tepi.

Haha

On a more serious note, I feel rental properties need Aircon’s that have spare parts available, and factory support. Capacitor rosak very common issue.

My Midea inverter that failed could have been repaired if only I called Midea themselves. My mistake for calling aircon service man who fail to repair repeatedly.
*
Yes true. Things nowadays cannot compare to York aircond that last 15 20 years.

Ive got 1 fan made by national, bought when i was form 3, last month k.o totally which is im 42 years old now, not that old, just nice 😅
*
Ya man... look at those companies, National, Singer etc etc. Their products are very long lasting that there is no necessity to buy new products. In the end they also cannot sustain the business.
Nowadays it's either use and dispose, or just find products that is easier to get cheap spare parts.

Just sharing for knowledge. I bought new airconds for price include standard installation. As the existing aircond pipe is not R32 so ask to conceal new pipe and wiring for extra charges. After done installing 2 pipes woth wiring, i found out the installer not using SIRIM approved cable with the inner copper wire seems to be very thin compared to the MEGA cable my wireman is using.

Aircond installer said if need to use Mega cable then need to top up. Got me upset as the cable options was not put forward. I dun expect they must use Mega but at least must be SiRIM approved. Installer said the specs is provided by the aircond shop so he will convey the message.

Lesson learnt, i should not have assumed they will use SiRIM approved cable by default.
*
I'm also on the same line of thought. Cable must be Sirim approved. Take as lesson and inform installer beforehand for next installation.
