6 more days to 20th of April. Argghh... more waiting. All those lag spikes means I'm stuck in tradeskill mode and can't do anything else.

QUOTE(retsmot @ Apr 14 2005, 09:51 PM) tradeskill mode? ahaha. lag spike i just make warlock to play....... DOT(damage over time).....if lag the damage still go on, and my voidstalker still tanking, can lah. My tradeskill mode is to kill lots of ghouls/zombies in the Western Plaguelands, collect all the runecloth and then enchant/tailor items. Yes, Warlocks can actually go easy with the lag spikes. Over the whole week, only died once because of lag. Just click attack button (sword), amplify curse, CoA, ctrl+1, Corruption, run towards enemy (auto attack), immolation, and watch the mob hp decrease while messing with winamp or firefox. Then collect the phat lewt hunter also ok actually.....but mage and priest if lag spike susah. Today did Uldaman with LOTS of lag spikes but managed to get to Annora to train my enchanting..mwahahaha... This post has been edited by Wolfgard: Apr 15 2005, 02:56 AM |

I was running at 1200-1800 this morn. My guildies in the States aren't having any problems but not too sure about the Aussies since they're not on at that time. I'm on the Earthen Ring server, BTW.

omg..5000+ms now. It's impossible to play as a warrior with that kind of latency. Daymn....I want to go to Maraudon tonight for a princess run!
Oddly, it was decent this morning around 1.30am to 7.00am (~800ms, about 200-300ms higher than what I usually get) Tracing route to us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com [12.129.232.116] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 * * * Request timed out. 2 46 ms 53 ms 49 ms 219.93.218.177 3 19 ms 18 ms 18 ms 219.93.216.109 4 19 ms 19 ms 18 ms 219.93.155.33 5 19 ms 19 ms 19 ms 210.187.133.83 6 19 ms 18 ms 18 ms 219.93.174.83 7 310 ms 312 ms 312 ms 219.93.153.158 8 * 983 ms 981 ms 12.118.44.5 9 1011 ms 1011 ms 1011 ms 12.123.8.50 10 974 ms 976 ms 965 ms tbr1-cl4.sl9mo.ip.att.net [12.122.10.30] 11 1000 ms 987 ms 991 ms tbr1-cl2.sffca.ip.att.net [12.122.10.42] 12 * 981 ms 984 ms gar3-p370.sffca.ip.att.net [12.123.13.161] 13 1019 ms * * mdf1-gsr12-2-pos-7-0.lax1.attens.net [12.122.255 .254] 14 889 ms * 890 ms mdf1-bi8k-1-eth-2-4.lax1.attens.net [12.129.192. 62] 15 * * * Request timed out. 16 * * * Request timed out. |

Anyone having the same problem as I am? My connection is extremely laggy from around 7pm to 1am with latencies up to 1100ms >_< Around 3-5am, it's quite decent, around 500-700
I'm getting extremely frustrated with Streamyx now... EDIT: Here's what I posted on the Streamyx subforum QUOTE Okay, streamyx is screwed up right now. Slow loading on international website and lag when playing World of Warcraft...tak tahan d. Just made a call (very long with lots of holds o.O) to their tech support and after a bootload of b****ing, they finally admitted to international issues since the last two weeks, which coincides with the latency issues I'm having. Way to go streamyx. They had to give me a shitload of nonsense about clearing my cache when I explicitly stated I wasn't surfing through a browser... QUOTE(sanylcs @ Oct 15 2005, 11:13 AM) ok, guys i using 219.95 ip, this is wat i noticed lately, weekdays around 8am to evening the ping is bad around 1k or more. However, during midnite 1am to 8am, the ping is about 500ms. my char at Blackrock. weekn totally sux like now! It's not the server problem. It's Streamyx's crappy connection to international servers. Just do a tracert and you'll see the latency to the login server is quite high. I dunno, I've been fighting with Screamyx's tech support people for 2 weeks d ever since the latency issue cropped up. Sometimes they admit it's gateway congestion, other times they just crap about best effort services. 9 emails and 4 calls, still no fix to the latency problems. I give up.it wasnt the server problem, i login low pop server, the ping still 1k or more. this is streamyx problem. they really need to do something. i can see some of u saying high latency but still fast respawn, yes, but overall, the fast response time is way too short compare to slow repsonse time, i can say 75% of time is high latency. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=146311&st=1480 |

Whoa, 1k-1.5k pings, that's very laggy. About the same as what I'm experiencing now with Streamyx having gateway issues. Used to be able to play with latencies around 600 >.<

Streamyx is facing severe congestion issues right now, that's why you're getting 1k+ in latency. This is bad, even a South African guildmate of mine playing in college, tunnelling through six firewalls can still get a decent 700ms ping rate.

No, you won't cause your raid members to lag but you'll freak them out whenever you aggro Core Hounds or leeroy Ragnaros in your lagfest
Today, latency between 6000-10000ms. Gotta <3 Streamyx right now. |

On monday I was able to connect to 218.111.x.x for the first time. Got about 300-500ms smooth connection. Went gila and did BRD, LBRS 5 manned and ZG till 6.30am in the morn. Too bad, after that Streamyx lagged like shite.

I realized that on Monday and Thursdays, around 3-5pm I can actually get the 218.208 IP range. Last week, this IP range was super. On average, 300-600ms in game. But this week different, I'm getting 550-1000ms at prime time and 400-600 after midnight. Go figure.
