Call #13 - Im calling to check and asked "Is there any problems with the 219 IP range ?" - The guy named Damen, put me on hold for 2 mins, and came back to me "No sir, there are no problems with the 219 IP range".

So, for another time... I explain about proxies and the 219 range compared to the other IP ranges. He put me on hold after all that.

Im on hold now, will edit this in 5 mins.

Edit: This guy Damen, said "Im the FIRST CUSTOMER" to complain about the 219 range. The hell ?! Can you guys please call, and specifically request for "Damen" (Indian guy, knowledgable, quite cocky). Im definitely not the first.

1300 88 9515 , press 2 for English, press 1 for StramyX, then press 3 for tech support.

Bullshit, I called Damen yesterday about the 219 ip issue. Yep, damn cocky guy. I guess he didnt file my report then.

I'm gonna give Screamyx a call again tomorrow to follow up on the report claimed to be 'submitted' yesterday. This time, I'm gonna ask them to forward me to a technical staff. Hopefully somebody can shed some light, or tell another contradicting story. Oh yeah, they didn't contact me as 'promised'. So much for customer service. If this is the states, I bet we can have a class action lawsuit or something like that for breach of contract (remember the EA/Origin ultima online lawsuit?).

Supposed to call today, but exam in the morn and after I came back, overslept till 7pm..hehe

It has been fixed? Noooooo.... still at 2296ms in game. BUT, it's definately better than previously which was around 3600ms.

How's everybodys ping? I'm still stuck at 3k. So much for streamyx fixing their international line.

Streamyx just called *surprise surprise* and asked me to troubleshoot with the technician. I told them I'll call back and do it tonite coz I'm leaving now. Don't think it'll help, but at least somebody DID take action based on my report I sent in 3-4 days ago.

The one thing that I couldn't explain is that during the last 3 weeks and if you've been following the threads, there is one particular day that IP219 suddenly becomes LAG FREE. I was playing WoW with 500-700ms pings. Just that one day. The next day, back to the same old >1k pings. Strange. That one day nobody was online?
*
That was the best WoW day for me since beta. First time I played consistantly in the 'yellow' zone and occasionally dipped into the 'green' zone (roughly 300ms). Too bad it lasted only for a few hours. cry.gif

They should offer a 'gaming package' with better download/upload speed ration. I wouldn't mind paying the extra cost if it's like rm10-25 extra!

PS: The net's so slow that when I enter the game, it hangs while loading!

Strange... when I entered just now, it was VERY fast. Almost back to normal but hung right after loading. Then I tried again, and managed to enter with 5k ping. *sigh*

EDIT: Wah Wah...500ms and counting!

EDIT2: Stablized at 1134ms! Sweet! Play time!

EDIT3: Dratz...the connection is very unstable...it states there 2400ms now, but the response is like 700-1500ms with periodic lag spikes.

It's back up to 4k again. False hope...sheesh. Sometimes fast (normal speed, can cast instantaneously) and mostly laggy.

EDIT: Response can be very very unpredictable. I dare not leave the UC in case everything goes back to 10k while I'm stuck outside not getting the rest bonuses.

I'm running on 219.95 too. Yes, it's shifts from fast to slow and back again. I'm not sure I should be happy or angry now...considering I can actually play decently. But, I'll stay in game for awhile more just to check on the lag rate:

My rough estimate of ping rate based on in game response:
Fast: about 500-700ms
Slow: varies from 2000ms to 6000ms.

Average based on latency meter: varies from 2500-4500ms. Strange huh?

Looking good! That means the problem we were experiencing for the last 3 weeks is indeed related to the current one. Still, in game latency is hovering at 4k.

I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. The above demonstrates TMnet realising that they can get less complaints from people who did not check latest news. And the fact that they dumped most people on 219s, their temp solution is to throttle the bandwidth for the majority's benefit.

Lets not forget these servers are temporary routers and we're pinging at 1:00 AM in the morning on a Friday night. During the day, it should be completely different story.

It only makes sense to pass judgement when they officially announce they've completely (and supposedly) nailed the current issues.

Ah haha....I made it to Org (the zepp ride was horrible! When it loaded completely and stop lagging, the zepp was about to head back to UC. I jumped down as soon as I could)! Yes! Now to spend time in the AH and level my tailoring and enchanting.

Yep, don't put too much hope on this yet. That I know. It might become worse tomorrow.

Still no change today. Logging in as if no lag, enter with 500ms, everything smooth but after a minute or two, everything freezes.

From section 28 Shah Alam with 219.95.x.x. Latency seems okay, but with lots of time outs. Connection still pretty unstable.

Agreed we shouldn't flame them for the SEA cables. But we should blame them for not giving a single update on the repairs. People had to resort asking third parties like REACH and Singtel for news.

Lostboy, your attitude towards the issue is a perfect explanation why we had the WoW problem in the first place. Malaysia has a backward position because the people themselves willingly "take crap".

I condemn TMNet customer support because they don't measure up to the service that ISPs should provide.
I condemn TMNet's lack of effort in giving the proper IT infrastructure we deserve. My tax money is better spent on charity.

I post my rants on this thread because most people in online gaming understands what real lag is. Whereas, the official streamyx rant thread is catered for everyone.
*
Interesting... If you read last weeks InTech (I think thursday), it mentioned that Malaysia wanted a share of the gaming industry. YYEEAAAAHHHHH RIIIGGGHHHT... Multiplayer gaming (massively multiplayer or not) is the 'thing' in the gaming industry now. Look at xbox live, Battle.net, etc. With our net infrastructure, there's no way we can support gaming, even at a decent level.

And yeah, WoW still laggy and unstable. Nice~~~~

Smooth on 219.95.x.x. Getting about 900ms, with very slight spikes. Definately playable.

219.95.x.x. Average latency is about 800ms-1100ms. Lag spikes about once every 3-8 iminutes. Response feels like a 400-600ms except during sporadic spikes.

Very playable if you're a warlock, good if you're a hunter or shaman, decent for warriors/rogues, horrible if your class requires clicks to attack (i.e. mages).
