I'm concern that Kasturi is too crowded and Sunway is too new in offering CFA... - FTMS Malaysia not offering classes for the CFA exam.- Kasturi's classes for the CFA program are always crowded. Hard to get the chance to ask questions. Not sure if their Sunway branch faces the same case. - Sunway Uni is new in this. Heard the hours offered are short (more like a crash course) - Noesis has a small class (abt 25 students per class), experienced lecturers, higher passing rate and of course, good support from the management team. They provide career placement services as well. Fees are the highest of course but worth every penny. If you don't mind an overcrowded class and have budget constraints, go for Kasturi. Don't have much knowledge on their lecturers, so can't comment. If you want a fast-paced course, go for Sunway. Avoid if you absorb things slow. I'd recommend Noesis but it's a biased opinion. The classes fully prepared me for my Level 1 exam (plenty of mock exams, lecturers' support, and the small group synergy) Disclaimer: I'm a student of Noesis. Currently studying for the Level 2 exam here. No regrets. |

For my batch (back in level 1), 1 of my coursemates (hi, u reading this?? Haha) was offered PE but he didnt take up the offer.I dont have actual figures but students after Level 2, are in CF (at IBs) or Equity research at fund management houses. Opportunities come to you once you've passed Level 2, even more after Level 3 (assuming you have a good & professional attitude in work) If you are interested to know more, you can contact them. I'm just preparing well for Level 2 and make the switch after L2. Are you still in the program? This post has been edited by fino_abama: Oct 26 2011, 09:45 AM |

kasturi offers around 150 hours and sunway offers 88 hours for the same price.
I didnt like sunway's program; the people there wasn't really helpful maybe because they are new. Lecturers are flown in to teach. Kasturi was very helpful and they offer scholarship for top scorers. Can't comment on noesis though i would be really interested in their placement. (not sure what PE is though) fino what field r u in now? |

I'm in Risk Management at a local commercial bank, looking to go into Fixed Income or Corporate Finance after Level 2 (or maybe stay in RM, a very-in-demand field as well). How's your experience with Kasturi so far? Lecturers okay? |

If your MBA is from the Ivy League, sure MBA would weight more than CFA.If you want to work in the asset management/corporate finance/investment banking, CFA is the best qualification to get. Get an MBA if you want to go into management roles. This post has been edited by fino_abama: Oct 26 2011, 11:29 PM |

It looks bad unless if you have a good reason to back it up. But i think half a year is still acceptable. |
