I took both options. It's only 30USD extra for the ebook option and I could always read up it on my iPad whenever I'm travelling or having some spare time to spend.

Fino, started on your Level 3 d?

Gotta agree with you, if you have an iPad/Galaxy Tab, getting the eBook and Printed version is good too.

Nope, still busy with an interview and new initiatives from management. Will register before 19th Sep. How's your reading so far?

Busy with interview? Mind if I ask where are you working now? I've just started my reading today and boy the scope is really wide for level 3. I've gotta say the essay writing freaks me out a lil.

Working for the No.4 local bank in town (by asset size). Are you working at the moment or studying full time?

You're right, the scope is wider for Level 3 (read a bit of the text at Noesis a few weeks back). Classes starting in December, so if you have second thoughts ... brows.gif

Hahahaha I'm 'actively seeking employment and studying full time'. Does that even make sense? LOL.

Well, Sunway classes are starting in October/November. So if you have second thoughts too.... brows.gif

CFA Malaysia has been largely inactive and there seems to be minimal support from the administration. Not many activities organised by the secretariat for local members?

That's fast. I'm compiling a formulae sheet just like how I did for Lvl 1 & 2 but I think won't have so many formula for Lvl 3.

By the way, IBBM is having a Financial Services Career on 21st Oct, remember to go.

Not that bad lah ... there are quite a number of events every year:

- AGM/dinner
- New Charterholders ceremony
- CPE courses (around 4-5 so far in 2012)
- A few social events (wine, bbq, etc.)

The last event was poolside bbq at KL Hilton.

The CPE courses are useful, esp. if you need points for SC licence.

Every year, they siphon USD325 from me (or rather, from my employer heh heh!). So they'd better give back something! If you are a member, better confirm that they have your correct e-mail address.

Dang. Just when I've accepted my job offer they're having a career fair. Thanks anyways. And yeah, there won't be as many formulae as in Lvl 1&2. But I'm still very unfamiliar with the writing part for IPS. hmm.gif

hahaha maybe I'm still a candidate that's why I wasn't invited for all the events. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to attend the New Charterholders company, with fino!

I'm in management consulting, so it actually adds very little value to CFA. But my company is very supportive of me taking the exam, so it's alright. smile.gif
