Are you joking? Small gain cannot gain charter? I don't think the CFA institute discriminates against small firm.

No joke man.. Need 2 references to 'vouch' for you, if neither of the 2 is a CFA charterholder then need 3 references of which one must be supervisor, so I have to ask my ex-boss...

I'm continuing Level 3 classes at Noesis. Start studying beginning October, start classes in December. Gotta hit the EOC questions after every LOS. Gonna start only on the essay portion. Good thing the Institute releases past year papers for the essay.

You can try studying now and gauge your progress as you go along. If you find it difficult, then sign up for classes.

Hey guys,

I've been toying with the idea of taking up CFA but I don't think I'm quite ready to sit for the Dec or June2013 Level 1 exams as yet due to personal reasons (i.e. no time to focus on CFA).

But I would like to go thru Level 1 materials so if anyone wants to get rid of their Level 1 books/study materials I will be more than happy to take them off your hands.

I don't think they allow any payments other than cc. Why don't you call your bank and find out the reasons for rejection or try emailing CFAI.

Done via master card smile.gif....guess my visa card not accepted. Just received my Paper I e-book for June 2013.

Need some advice here, is it necessary to take tuition for paper I. The purpose i plan to have exam in June 2013 is the allow me sufficient time for self-study.

Any successful candidates here have gone through Paper I without having tuition? thumbup.gif

Yea for people in finance i think self study is enough, I self studied Level 1-3 passed... Believe in yourself! You will learn so much more effectively as well by asking yourself questions and finding out the answer through research...

Just passed LIII but having trouble finding references for me to gain the charter as I am in a small firm...

Think level 1 is manageable w self-study. Do loads of practice and if u are well-acquainted with the question style u'll be good for the finals.
