30->50mbps been going on for 1 year now, think it's over.

u already know some hv gone 30->50 a few months back... and just gone 50->100 for +rm10.

nobody knows how and why tm/unifi can get away with this kind of behavior.

i gave up... just stay happy with rm169 50mbps, can't get more, already tried.

Sadly, you are right. Yours' still okay and so I'm still going to fight anyways. At minimum, even if they can't increase the speeds, I'll settle for a significant price reduction. They've offered free Jumbo pack, either as replacement or in addition to present Ruby pack. Unsure, Didn't even bother reading the email properly, straightaway decline and replied that it's insufficient as I'll still be paying RM40+ per month more than new subs. That's RM500 per year and at least 1K by contract ends. Sell off my box and can buy the Nvidia Shield TV 2 .. So we'll see.

You can try to backup your box's image by Hitool, if can make it, then can modify the boot image to enable the serial.

I tried to backup but failed, i suspected the fastboot also locked, currently only the way is get the image from the box which is not yet upgrade, and flash the fastboot and recovery partition, no need to find from the China's website already, they didn't have our box's image, only the image matched with the box just can success write into the box.

Is there any one who got updated recently ? I have a fresh hypptv box, but now after the update I see only 4 options.

1. There is no recovery option on the recovery menu
2. It doesnt seem to respond to STB Management tool and doesnt seem to listen on 10061 where the tool tries to connect.?

Any other way to root or install stuff ? Your response is highly appreciated.

If you have upgraded, then your STB is locked. Currently there's no way to flash it or root it.

Yup, it's slow and doesn't support H.265 HEVC.
