You need to know recovery password only can apply update.zip.
No point for this. Because you can open adb port others way.

It's an Ethernet connection routed through your existing power line.

but does it need to run on wire on the other hand ? or it can detect wireless on the second unit like AP router range extender ?
btw , do I need a good power line for the 2nd unit ? there is like 4 slot power slot brought at DIY.Will it work on that too ? worry of interference data will get corrupted when transferring files ?

About the stock hypptv app, Where to get the apk? As in play store only have the diff version. I want to install the same app used in hypptv box in my other android box. Possible right?

TLDR: Not possible at the moment.

You'd probably have to rip it out of a working STB, along with its prequisites..Assuming TM tech secured it properly (judging from recent history, highly likely they did), it's hardware bound and should take more than simply copying the apk and installing on another.. That's what I would do and I expect more from a company with TM's resources.

It's far easier for people to obtain more or the same amount of entertainment offered through other means.

just got my STB couple days back and was just to play with it. so some auto update remove the google playstore. hmm.. how do i get that back?

but what are the steps to take before the auto update? because i don't see any option as it's an force update.

Pull out cable, delete server URL.

Go back to a few pages , there is a guy (his location is in Kota Damansara) who can get back your google play app and install a few other apps as well as deleting the update server for RM30. I sent to him mine and happy with it.

AFAIK, It's just the "guy" who's able to restore the functions on a fully locked down STB. Some were lucky that updating didn't uninstall Kodi or a file explorer, so still had some control.

Need new maintenance code to attempt that. So far, it hasn't gone public.

No way for now as nobody has shared a successful method yet. Those succeeded are doing a business now.
So, unless you pay them. I saw some previous posts regarding this, check them out.

There is a china website that provide the steps to do it, but it's all in chinese.
I don't have the link, just saw it once.

Still not proven working. So far only one reported that it works.
