stressing about acne is one thing that can lead to more acne.

go see a skin specialist. rather than just sulking and doing nothing about it. they have treatment for acne. they will give u medicine, recommend a proper facial cleanser, the dos and donts, etc.

work hard, be successful. women nowadays dont look at ur face. u see jay-z handsome or not? u see sacha baron cohen handsome or not? but all got pretty wife.

if you're worried about depression, you should at least know that it is mainly caused by lack of motivation in many aspect of your life.

The most important thing you need to be is do the best you can for everything that you do, seek more knowledge. I don't know about your extra curricular life, as you didn't mention but i'm just gonna assume that you don't have any just in case, do join marathons/sports, pick up a hobby, bit by bit take it to a level you've never been before. Bit by bit you will feel better about yourself, understand yourself more as you accomplish more for yourself. From what you've wrote, you're too busy worrying about what others see of you. If you have already invested so much more value in yourself, people would see you more than just the acne/scars on your face and when you feel you have more to offer to the people around you, you would no longer feel shy of looking at people in the face as you have more to radiate to them than just acne problems. Some day you could be someone's mentor, teaching them to give value to their life.

Having zits/acne is a part of life, our bodies is a reflection of our lifestyle e.g the way we handle our sleep/food/stress/hygiene and I can assure you, you are not alone.
You're still young and you've just started to "walk" into society. It will be hard, and it's meant to be hard. Give yourself time to learn and know yourself better, in no time you can run full speed ahead in your life.

Do check out Elliot Hulse / Brandon Carter / Tai Lopez in Youtube. They have great videos for people like you.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. It means ALOT to me. and yes, i dont have any extra curricular activities, even in my resume i dont know what to say about my curricular activities. i recently went to an job interview and i failed to impress the boss ( maybe due to my poor english speaking ).

i totally lost my way, i always afraid to speak in english and finding it hard to express what i wanted to say in WORDS. Do u have any advises in improving my communication skills as well as my english?

Start speaking to anyone in the public with English. Be it at the supermarket or restaurant. You can even do it at home with your family. Get yourself familiar with the language and it will eventually build up your confidence.

If you're too worried about English, no prob. Listen to good rap music. Try to rap to it and go find out the meaning in the rap. Try out Fort Minor, clean rap and it's semi motivational rap. It may make you look stupid or slow, but hey, do it in your own room or car. No doubt, you train with yourself.

Even if u go for job interview, you have to show the employer what you can offer to the company, English is just secondary. An interviewee may speak good english but if he is unable to add value to the company's goal/interest they will still reject him. And, keep trying to go for interview. One company reject you? No problem. Go back and reflect what is lacking and what you could've done better to secure the job. And then try to improve on the next interview. Eventually you will find out what's the value you can offer.

At the end of the day, don't allow yourself to give excuses of something not turning out right and don't blame. Don't blame anyone or circumstances. Make yourself a level above these, you will see yourself improve a whole lot faster and happier.

i have been having heavy stress due to the acnes and acnes scars on my cheek! i always feel that i am the ugliest guy in the world. Acnes, scars and my chubby cheeks just undermine my confidence and social skills. When talking to people, i will rarely look at them while talking.

i just hate looking at the mirror, every time i look at the mirror, i just feel like dying. There are times, when i was crossing the road, i wish it would be good if a car can hit me and i die so i don't have to suffer anymore, as you all know, acnes, scars and the chubby cheek (due to genetic problem) are unable to get rid.

BUT NOW, i am graduated, i will have to step in the society, start working, start facing all the people around. i feel stress. i always ask myself a question. "why i am the unlucky one, why i have to bear all these pains?"

is this a sign of depression? sad.gif

See a dermatologist, get accutane/isotetrin. It will make you 100% acne clear for life in 1 year +. After that do 2~3 rounds of laser to quickly heal the scarring. If you're fat start working out also. The acne treatment will take around RM 4000 only.

In just 2.5 years and RM 4000 you can do all this and even be a model. Patients, 1 step forward at a time, no need to commit suicide.

I've suffered from serious acne myself, all over chest back and worst on face. Was suicidal for 6 Months, then spent the money, treated the shit hardcore, and now 100% clear. In 1.5 years time gonna do laser and look perfect like a Hollywood superstar.

I have taken accutane treatment for 6 months. It is now considered under control but there are times acnes break out. Also, i heard my friend said that there are some side effects for doing laser. My friend has done his laser treatment for 3-4 times, and now everytime when he goes out, he can't exposed to to sunlight. It hurts his face real bad. (ie. redness on the face especially the cheek part due to the thinner layer of the skin after laser)

I also got a big pimple on my face 2 days ago, it's normal. Once you finish your accutane course you will be 99% free for life. So finish it.

I don't believe laser treatment such as fractional CO2 laser cause permanent sensitivity to sun. It does cause abit sunburn for 3 days and normally takes 1 week before you expose your face normally to sun. After that it's fine. Please research on Google for atleast 6~10 hours and have a long talk with your doctor about laser choices and it's permanent side effects.

Newer fractional laser skin resurfacing actually builds new collagen in the skin and thickens the skin. There should be no long term damage....

TS, you're not the only one to have to go thru the bad acne and acne scars. I feel the same as well. Have been spending shit loads of money to try to get rid of it but it doesn't seem to go away completely. I'm just glad my acne isn't as bad as it was.

How long did it take for it to work on you? I tried a month but no effect. Went on hormone pills for a while cause it was due to hormone unbalance then. Gotten much better but still not completely cleared. Thinking if I should go for roaccutane now, but then that means I have to avoid sun, which I can't. Sigh. sad.gif

Ah, was thinking of going for those acid peel treatment also. Is it suitable for acne-prone skin? A lot of places told me only can do if got no acne to remove the scars only.

How must are those treatment and where do you do it?

I start it along with the antibiotics, my face started to get better after months of doing both of that. And then I stopped the Peel thing since my face was COMPLETELY clear(just acne scars left)...few months later I decided to go for peeling session again, but right after that peel the acne on my chin suddenly breakout making it worse cry.gif I guess it is the peel that purges all the "dirty things" out...so breakout happens....Then now I don't dare to go peel already...I stick to pills...the acne on chin is still there...

edit:I went to my derma for acne problem, she does all the peeling etc It cost like Rm80 first treatment, then Rm70 next, then Rm60, Rm50..Rm50..Rm50

Ask your dermatologist about PDT (photodynamic therapy)
and IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments.

PDT is usually used together with 5-amino levulinic acid (5-ALA)
or methyl levulinate (MAL), a photosensitizer.
